I've stayed at many hotels in the past decade and the Fresno Courtyard by Marriott was one of the nicest rooms and hotels I've ever seen. It was very clean--the room, lobby, and everywhere on the grounds. The room and rest of the hotel had an ultra modern look and feel, like brand-new. All of the staff were very professional and courteous. The beds were very comfortable--not worn out or flat. The free coffee provided in the room as well as the shampoo and other things were all very high quality. And thank goodness it's a no-smoking hotel and there actually is NO smell of second-hand smoke at all, which is wonderful. I've gotten used to the smell of secondhand smoke in most other hotels, even ones that say they're smoke free! It was great to have free fresh-brewed Starbucks coffee available downstairs in the Lobby. The food at the hotel's Lobby (Bistro) was absolutely delicious and very health-minded. Just a wonderful experience, perhaps the best I've ever had with a hotel with the exception of a super expensive hotel I stayed at in Maui during our honeymoon many years ago. The gym was amazing for being so small it had more equipment and in better condition equip. than larger gyms at larger hotels! I would said the only things that could have improved the experience if if the place 1) had a hot tub. What hotel, especially one like Courtyard at Marriott, doesn't have a hot tub! Pretty amazing thing to miss. And two, I wish it had faster free wi-fi. The free wi-fi, at least from my room, was pretty slow. But since I was only using an Android phone that has a data plan and not a laptop, I didn't bother paying for a faster speed wi-fi. Other than that, because of this I'm going to look for Courtyards by Marriott from now on anywhere I go! Bravo, Marriott! Thank you for making it an extra...
Read moreThe stay was terrible. First off the carpets in the halls were all worn and stained. I got in the elevator and the permit was expired. We got to our room and it had a very stale smell like you left a bag of fast food sit for a few days. It was not an up to date place as there were carpet baseboards and popcorn ceilings with no true light fixtures other than lamps in the main area of the room. The toilets are so low that it was uncomfortable to sit on. The shower pressure would fluctuate drastically as I could hear the neighbor flush his toilet or wash his hands. The window had its seal broken and was fogged up from the moisture between the panes of glass. You could see on the wall paper where there were marks that were cleaned off because it also took the color off the wall paper. There were multiple stains on the carpet in our room and there was so much furniture in the small room that you could barely walk around the bed. Literally 14 inches between the bed and the couch. Our key cards became both demagnitized and we had to go back and get them changed after being locked out of the building. When we had to go to the front desk staff was always behind a partition and not visible. Once they realized you were there that would come out to the reception desk. No complimentary breakfast that I thought was a Marriott standard. And after all that house keeping didn't come as we were there only 2 nights I guess they only come every third day. The game room had only a miniture pool/air hockey table. The pool was in the center courtyard but there was no hot tub. To say I was very disappointed is an understatement. I am not sure I will ever stay at a courtyard by Marriott again with this substandard service. This hotel needs to...
Read more100% satisfied and zero complaints about my two-night experience in this hotel. Was in town for a concert but needed to work by day, and the staff went out of their way to ensure I'd have a quiet room for work calls/Zoom meetings by day and restful sleep by night. Wonderful Ahjeah assisted me both by phone in advance and during my arrival on site and was amazing - so professional, helpful and gracious in addressing my requests. Also, when I needed to check out but had more one more work video call before hitting the road, Valentina & Ahjeah generously coordinated and made it possible for me to quickly use a spare business room to complete work needs. As a professional, their great professionalism meant a lot! While the hotel is an older building, the recent remodel is great; the interior was all new and also spotlessly clean. I wouldn't likely have known the hotel was older had they not told me so when I complimented the interior. My room was quiet with zero highway noise despite the hotel's proximity to the 41 onramp. The housekeeping staff must be wonderful, because my room was spotlessly clean. Clean carpet, clean sofa, clean bedding, towels, bathroom - all spotless. If you're headed to Fresno for work or for fun or both as in my case, I highly recommend this hotel for a clean, comfortable stay with excellent, professional staff who care about your nice experience here. I'll stay at this hotel whenever I need to head back to Fresno! Thank you, staff,...
