We enjoyed our stay very much. This La Quinta Inn renewed our faith in the chain. We have not had good experiences with staying at other La Quintas. This one is beautiful! It is modern and very clean. The young man that checked us in was very professional and friendly. It smelled lovely when we walked in and we were welcomed right away. The room was very nice and clean. My favorite part was the bathroom. It was roomy, modern, and clean. A dirty bathroom in a hotel room can ruin the whole stay, at least in my eyes. The shower was big and the complimentary Dove cucumber melon beauty products was a pleasant plus. The stay was quiet for the most part. There will always be those that are rude and let their doors slam or kids run around. The beds were large and comfortable. The sheets were soft and clean. The pillows were a bit hard, but that might be something you prefer. I loved the contemporary minimalist decor and furniture. It's nice to stay in a place that doesn't remind you of Grandma's house in the 1980's. Housekeeping did knock early, but I can't remember if there was a 'do not disturb' sign available and we forgot to put it out, but it wasn't a problem. We were up and getting ready to leave. Special note: For those of you that complain about housekeeping knocking on your door in the morning, especially if you forgot to place the DND sign on the doorknob, you need to know how housekeeping works. From someone who worked in housekeeping through all of my teen and early young adult years I can tell you that these cleaners start early. They have no idea who has checked out of their rooms yet because most people leave the hotel without informing the front desk that they are done with the room. The housekeepers only have a certain amount of time to clean all of the rooms before check-in at 3pm that day. There are always the special earlier check-ins that people pay for, so these workers have to get those done first. You add in the mess that most (yes most!) people leave for housekeeping because they think it's the cleaners job to pick up their trash off the floor or the coffee they spilled all over the table. If you are one of the polite and decent people that will actually throw away stuff in the garbage cans and maybe put the dirty towels in a pile for the workers, you would be sick to hear stories of things that these housekeepers clean up. So, stop complaining about housekeeping and 1) let the front desk know when you are checking out, 2) be an adult and throw away your garbage, and 3) if you'd like to do something nice for someone to show that you are not an entitled snob, strip the dirty linens off the bed and put them in a pile with all of the dirty towels. Wouldn't it be nice if someone did something small every day to make your job just that much easier? I highly recommend this La Quinta Inn and we will be staying here every time we visit our...
Read moreWe arrived at LaQuinta Inn and suites in January -July 2021 and we made it clear with Management at the time (Amanda) we were going to stay long term so we needed a room that had space and looked a little like home not a strange domain that type of thing. She took us up to 3rd floor and showed us the room before hand and treated us very kindly and was very understanding, including gave us a rate that was reasonable to someone who was going to be on a long term stay at a hotel and promised us we would be locked on that rate during the period of our stay.We kept the place neat at all cost, because we knew we might not need house keeping everyday except once in a while but when I say we kept it tidy I mean very clean, including the day we were leaving the room was clean. We ate out to keep the room food smell free ...now fast forward to May 18,2021 we learnt Amanda was no longer there, new management (Jim) raised the rates, number one ,he had no patience explaining to you why except to say COVID-19 season is over, looked at you disdainfully,he was not even concern whether you stay or not.We ended up calling a nearby hotel that worked with us for the last week that was left before we came home, besides the last 3weeks at LaQuinta we were paying $1,200-$1,3000 a week.Even the way we were told our rates were going to go up was unprofessional,we were not even given a notice in advance, we were coming from Walmart to get our shots and we were stopped at the elevators to be told that ,imagine...right in front of other house keeping staff,The front desk staff said ,"here you are ,"and this was what was going to happen from now on....!"We took it politely and we went to our room feeling disgusted. There's more but we have been talking to a lawyer about price gouging on this matter and I feel better now that I'm home...Long term hotels are a temporary solution but are not supposed to take an advantage of your situation, you are not supposed to feel subhuman because you live in a hotel because you're stranded or one thing to another, infact long term stas are more affordable. We were honest from the time we walked in until we left,we were told were going to get a good rate and things changed..I gave the hotel a 3stars because it is a 3star hotel and it lived up to its promise. The hotel is nice, clean, comfortable beds and a safe location except you can hear everything going on next door, their walls are very thin, but it's still a lovely place.I hope you are...
