Upon our late arrival, which was documented in my reservation, we noted that we wanted a room on a high floor, with extra pillows and towels, and a late check out of 2pm which is offered to rewards members. When we arrived we were greeted by a friendly front desk clerk who chatted us up about our plans for the weekend , when I confirmed with her that we would like a high floor and she scrunched her Face up and stated that the top floor "was done " I guess she could sense my irritation and changed our floor to the 4th floor that was "done" with no problem . Strangely enough, We prepaid for this reservation, so it was hard for us to understand why we could not get what we requested in our reservation, ESPECIALLY since we had paid 3 weeks in a advance. Also with our special request why wasn't a room prepared for us prior to us arriving ? Why ask if we have requests and they be ignored? Nonetheless, We were given room 404, Upon first appearances this room was nice, it was spacious and looked very clean. Then the issues began, there were no extra pillows, nor towels, but after 4 hours of driving we said forget it, we will be here 4 days, we will request them tomorrow. The night went on, I began to get a little thirsty and I noticed that there was a free bottle of water that came with the room, as I picked up the bottle of water , turned the cap which didnt have that signature fresh bottle of water seal snap...and after further inspection it looked as though it has been drank out of and put back (reference picture of broken seal on water bottle) that was red flag one. I moved on from this issue , and threw the bottle away. As I prepared to take my shower, I pulled back the curtain to see what looked to be pubic hair scattered in the bottom of the shower, disgusted I turned on the water full steam and let it run for a moment. Upon returning I noticed the shower was not draining I reached down and attempted to loosen the plug. At that moment the entire plug came completely out, I just sat it on the edge of the tub and watched the water sit In the basin. Frustrated I went and sat on the bed and waited for the tub to drain I heard a loud gurgle and the water EVENTUALLY drained. I took a shower and laid down, as I was laying in bed talking, I noticed the pillows corners were dirty and had smudges on them, all four corners!! At this point, I was ready to get out of this hotel, but it was 3am, no hotel would allow us to check in, and it was such an inconvenience. My husband suggested sleeping there for the night and checking out first thing. Luckily I brought my blanket with me from the car and I was able to wrap a couple of the pillows in it to make me feel a little more comfortable. We slept through the night and had no issues the next morning while getting dressed I looked down at the sheets on the bed and noticed that there were several red spots that looked like blood. No one in our party was bleeding, this DEFINITELY came from a pervious tenant. DISGUSTED I immediately called the front desk and asked about checking out early when you prepaid . My answer was no refunds, and that if one was issued it would have to come from the manager who would not be back until Monday. She asked what the issues were to make us want to leave early, and After explaining my issues, the phone was silent, I said hello, and the clerk on the other hand stated that she was there ,but she had nothing to say. I told her that was fine and we will be disputing the charges on a credit card and would be checking out immediately. Moral of the story dont stay here. The only reason we remained at this hotel was because it was too much of a hassle to locate and check into another hotel on such short notice. I'd gladly pay double to stay somewhere I KNOW will be clean and rejuvenating. I expect more from this...
Read moreThis day was already getting off to a bad start as the hotel that was previously booked had no air. So when I called the room reservations and asked did they have an adjoining room. She said that they did and so I booked them. When we got to the front desk about 20 minutes after that phone call, the front desk manager told us there was no way that they could’ve guaranteed that. Fortunately she did find two adjoining rooms. My brother and his fiancé had some of their wedding party come in town to get the final touches for the wedding done. We have not seen these people in a while, so of course we are going to want to sit and talk with them in the room. The purpose of the room was for those people to stay there and sober up before having to drive back to their respectable homes hours away. So, the first incident happened when a young man with a security jacket came to knock on the door and said “Y'all got 6 complaints, and the white lady downstairs said she hate to put y’all out if y’all get another one.” After he left I personally went to the front desk and I spoke to Emily and she said that she’d told him no such thing and that’s why she hates third party security companies. She said that someone did complain, but they’d already moved rooms. I told her that yes people are talking in the room but no one is being loud and obnoxious. The doors in that hotel are not flushed to the floor, and the walls are not that insulated, so you can hear everything. Someone had their tv on in their room and I could clearly hear what they were watching. It wasn’t like we would’ve had to yell for people around us to hear us talking in the room. So about 3 or 4 hours go by and there is another knock at the door and it’s a gentleman that works the front desk(possibly night audit) and the same security guy from earlier. The front desk guy said “We need y’all to leave the premises.” I asked him why, and he said “for noise.” Now for someone who is about to have a degree in Hospitality and Resort Management and has front desk hotel experience, I know that there should’ve been a phone call placed to the room. I told him that no one called us to tell us that, and he said that he did, he absolutely did not call the room. He didn’t call either one of the rooms. So he basically lied. I told him that people were laying down at this point. Therefore no one was really talking or anything, and hadn’t been for a while. After I told him everyone was laying down, he said “ok” and...
Read moreMy truck was stolen out of their parking lot!!! DO NOT STAY HERE!!
First let me say when I pulled up to the hotel that night almost 12 in the morning from traveling from Texas the front desk had a gun at his waist. so I was assuming he was protecting the please cause I’ve stayed at many Marriotts and Have never seen anyone carry a weapon especially a hotel staff and there was a gentleman outside the door in black, so I was assuming he was a security guard . The next day at 12:30 in the afternoon the lady at the front desk ask if I could leave because there is no late check out. Which I already asked the gentleman before if I could get a late check out and I was silver elite member with them.. Anyways, as I walked downstairs, I didnt see my truck. I walked around the building and enter the front of the door and ask the lady if she towed my truck. She said oh no, there was a break in and someone’s truck was stolen in the most rudest tone as possible!!. I said yall don’t inform your guest? She said they are unable to know who his truck was it!. Which I know is impossible The gentleman at the front desk had to know it was mine. I am the only one that pulled up that night right in front of the hotel, unloading my one year old and having a conversation about my truck with him. I also came down three times to 1) purchase soda 2) to get something out of my truck 3) to check on my truck again because there was two people smoking weed in the back. So the last time I seen it was at 1:45 in the morning. I understand that it’s not their responsibility but I think she should’ve showed some compassion. She gave me the number to the non-emergency line and I was informed that they didn’t even have a police report. So the sheriff met me at the hotel to make a report. The next day he called and said that there was 6 to 7 cars that was broken into and one truck was stolen, which was mine!!. I ask her since my truck was stolen. If she could give me a couple more hours in the room because I needed to make a plan to get a rental car. She said I don’t know I have to ask.. and then informed me, we could stay a couple more hours. She was just to be on rude and that’s not a way to handle a customer especially if they’re going to receive bad news like this.
Four days later, I found my truck in Mississippi. They smashed in the passenger window and made a duplicate key for my truck. So this had to be...
