Extremely rude check in staff! My husband went there for a stay, which was for business. I was one the phone with him for quite sometime before he even got to the hotel. I was still on the phone with him when he went into the hotel to check in and I heard every word both my husband and the rude staff said. Right from the moment my husband said "hi, I'm checking in" the woman (she had medium skin tone (african american), thin body type, and dread-locks passed her shoulders. She wore no name tag) who spoke to him and was very rude. She had no reason to be ignorant to him but she was. She demanded his credit card. He gave her the corporate card. He tried to explain that this was a reservation that was made for business. He gave her the confirmation number that he was given. She then demanded that he give her his ID. He was explaining to her that he was a victim of identy theft and that she could not have his ID but she could see it. She went on in her rude tone saying she refused to rent him a room if he did not give her his drivers license and she was going to scan it because she wanted a photo for records. He said he never heard of such a thing and that she could not scan his drivers license. She then began screaming obscenities at him while he was on his buisness phone with the owner of the company he works for. He tried to hand over the phone to her so she could speak to the owner himself so he could ask her why they needed a photo copy of his employee's license. She said in a rude tone "I'm just gonna tell him the same thing anyway!" She did eventually speak to my husbands employer but she was rude to him as well. She told his employer that she was refunding the hotel cost. As my husband was leaving she began following my husband out the door yelling and screaming at him as both myself and my husbands employer heard the whole thing. I was one his personal phone and of course the boss was on the business cell phone. NEVER EVER EVER will I book with this company for even personal trips. Not surprising though as after this incident I read many more complaints about a female front staff being extrememly rude to customers...
Read moreI will start by saying that I don’t like calling people out online but I could not find a corporate number so this is my best option. They were not welcoming at all! I called ahead to ask if they were pet friendly and they said yes and I booked a room. I told them I would check in that evening. When I arrived the staff were all chatting in the lobby and gave me unfriendly looks through thr glass. The main entrance was locked and I was standing there with my dog trying to figure out how to get in before staff finally bothered to stop their conversation to help me. Then I told them I already paid the pet fee and made a reservation and they treated me like I was not being truthful called someone to verify Id paid the pet fee right in front of me. Then they kept saying I was responsible for my dog in this unfriendly tone, as if they thought I was going to be trouble (this is AFTER I called ahead) Then I finally got to the room and it reeked of tobacco and I reported it so they moved me to a room with two queens. Bedding on BOTH beds had hairs and stains on them so I picked the less nasty of the two and went to sleep. The next morning the staff member at the desk was taking a personal call and I had to interrupt to ask about check out. He said it was fine but asked to see my dog. I showed him and he said he had one just like it but that it was so ugly he wanted to give it away. He asked if I wanted it. I obviously said no and was annoyed at the comments he made. The other guests there were wonderful and welcoming and talked to me in the elevator. The staff who are actually PAID to be there treated me like I did not belong there and acted like they didn’t want to be bothered. And they were rude to my dog. Don’t say you allow dogs and then treat mine like she is unwanted. She was a good girl and did not deserve that. She didn’t bark at all while we were there and she didn’t make any messes. I will book an...
Read moreI just couldn't get comfortable last night. Apparently, the Universe was shielding me from getting bitten by a bed bug. So I went to sleep last night, so tired that I fell asleep on top of the comforter. I had previously found multiple hairs in the bathroom towels and was rather questionable of the cleanliness of the sheets. So when I got up this morning, after on 4 hours of the worst sleep from merely being restless in my head, I was responding to a morning text and about to hit the snooze button on my alarm clock and suddenly out of my peripheral I saw this bug crawling from under my pillow. Ugh!!! This hotel was a little sketchy already, and I normally book across the street at the Four Points. However, it was a kind gesture from a friend to book me a hotel the night before I left town, and I would have been rude to be picky.
So, I called the front desk, let them know the situation, showed them a picture, notified the cleaning staff (because I didn't trust the guy at the front desk would have enough courtesy to let them know before they started cleaning the room, and then requested trash bags to isolate my luggage and a full refund.
I hope they get this addressed. I also have locs, and the thought of a bed bug burrowing in my hair just feels frightening and annoying. I have an 8 hour drive home, and I can guarantee that it's gonna be stressful because I am going to have the he-be-gee-bees.
Nonetheless, I hope that nothing has gotten in my luggage and clothes and that a good wash of everything can ensure that I am not taking anything home with me. Single parenting is stressful enough, and the last thing I wanna have to do is be fighting bed bugs in my home.
I thank God that I was unable to get rested. Clearly, I was...
