I really wanted to love this place, but it’s a no for me. First, I want to understand who orders inventory because they were out of everything I attempted to order, meaning signature items on their menu. Unreal. Allow me to say this, I travel often, visit many restaurants and I am all about the experience. This was not it. This place is overpriced asf. I expected that, money is not the issue, it’s the overall experience. For these prices, I didn’t expect to receive plastic utensils. I attempted to order the Wockesha, it has 3 shots of Tequila, I planned on getting it with Titos (which is a $5 upcharge to change liquor). It’s their signature drink, but I couldn’t get it because they were out of dry ice 😒 (Again, who handles inventory???) I ordered Titos n Tonic, couldn’t get it because they were out of Tonic water. The bartender made me a cutesy drink (which I wanted for optics) lol It had cotton candy on top, the drink was good, but the cotton candy was a No. I asked for Oxtail eggrolls, they were out of them. My daughter ordered Cajun pasta with lobster, I ordered Cajun pasta with shrimp and a salad…(they have 4 salads on the menu) yet only 2 were available (house and Caesar) lol (SALADS THOUGH) How hard is it to make a salad and if specific items aren’t available for purchase, remove them from the menu and stop giving patrons false hope. Okay, the pasta came out BEFORE my starter dish, MY SALAD, which came out 10 minutes later (that they had completely forgotten about). Ranch dressing is literally the worst ranch I’ve ever tasted in life, yeah that bad. The salad bowl wasn’t chilled as it should have been, it was literally a basic salad, nothing special about it that I could’ve did without for $14. The excuse on why I got my salad AFTER my entree was that there was only 1 cook working. My daughter and I was on the restaurant side where those under 21 are welcomed. The lounge side is 21 and older. They had food/drink specials over there plus the music is different - rap music; restaurant side - R&B music. The whole place smells like hookah, and I cannot stand the smell of hookah, I was literally getting sick and had to take a dam pill to keep me from going full on panic mode from the smell alone. I felt like my throat was closing :-( Our server was nice, her name is Alegra. She gave me a courtesy double shot of Titos & a slice of cheesecake to my daughter, it wasn’t good and was cheap, very cheap. Oh yeah, they automatically add gratuity onto your bill for parties of 1 or more lol…I’ve heard of 6 or more OR 8 or more, but 1??? Seriously! Okay lets talk about the pasta; it was good, salty but good. The ambience is nice, especially when they dimmed the lights. Other than that, I won’t be returning considering they still have a lot of work to do. Yeah, and don’t worry about dressing up. I wore sweatpants...
Read moreSo We were in a reserved party of about 15 guest for a birthday dinner. This was the first time many of Us had visited this establishment. We were taken to Our seats and given water and then due to spacing, We were given the option to transfer rooms to the hookah lounge. The Chairs were very uncomfortable, The waitress was all over the place as if it was Her first day. She took drink orders for half the party and We had to get Her attention to ask to place an order. By this time We had been there right at an hour. Then it took Her another 45 minutes to come take Our food order. Mind You that the guests that We already in and seated were eating already. There were two Ladies that came in and sat at the table, it took them all of 15 minutes to get drinks, food and a hookah. The waitress seemed very unbothered. The party that I was in started to get restless needless to say and asking about Our orders. She stated that the kitchen was backed up.... We were all like really how? Everyone was eating except for Us. She then stated that She was going back to the kitchen to check on the orders and in about 5 to 10 minutes later, She returned with two bowls in Her hand. Once with dressing and the other with ox tails. .... LOL She had the audacity to tell Us that what She had was what the kitchen staff had prepared and had a few other sides plated and that We could pick what We wanted. By this time, some had started cancelling orders. She seemed very unbothered, untrained and Her Customer Service skills were HORRIBLE. We received great reviews on how good the food and drinks were, but due to lack of staff on this particular day and dealing with a waiter that clearly was overwhelmed. We still didn't find out for Ourselves. Who knows maybe this was just a one off. I will maybe down the road give it another try before I just say that never again. I think that management however could have done a better job at staffing if the party was on a...
Read moreIt looks nice in the restaurant until you start looking at details. The fork prongs were bent and not even from the same set, the bowl I was served my appetizer in looked like they picked it up from Walmart, the bar stools are not only small but the paint on them is coming off and the table bases were tarnished which is very surprising for a restaurant that’s less than a year old.The food was good but definitely not worth the price. There’s not many options to choose from and there’s not really any descriptions of what comes in your food so if you’re allergic to anything make sure to ask your waiter to list what goes into anything you plan to order. Oh and there’s a 18% gratuity to warn you in advance.
Appetizer- Lobster Queso Fries $21 Looked and tasted like checkers fries with imitation lobster and halfway melted shredded cheese on top. There was some white cream sauce at the bottom but it was only placed on one side of the bowl and not really enough to even describe what it could have been. Not worth $21
Entree- Lamb Chop Cajun Pasta-$28 The lamb chops were delicious The pasta not so much at least for the price. Runny and basic. I could’ve made a better one at home. I understand it’s a basic meal but if you can’t make a good simple pasta which how can I trust anything else and for $28 I should’ve been blown away. Waited what felt like forever it it also.
Drinks- just tasted like straight up alcohol and expensive but that’s a given when it comes to alcohol. Just order a shot it’ll save you money.
Servers- I don’t think there’s really a dress code as long as it’s all black. All the girls except for two maybe looked like they just threw on anything. I saw belly button rings, cheeks and etc. I understand it’s the restaurant of a rapper but it’s dressed up to be a fine establishment and the servers’ dress code is giving fast food teenage...
