We had issues with checking in. No fault of this company but through a 3rd company we will never use again. Okay, so after an hour of sorting everything out, my travel companion was able to get the same price! Okay that's great. But when we went to our room, it was not cleaned at all. Still untouched from the last occupant. So we took pictures and went back to the desk. The lady gave us a new room, no problems. And walked us to our room to make sure it was cleaned. Good customer service there. We did not do a thorough check. She opened the door and beds were made, no trash and that was that. After unloading our bags. I did notice our room was not cleaned correctly. The issue with staying here is the housekeepers. They need to hire ones who actually want to do their job. I mean one room wasn't done and we checked in after 6 in the evening. Cleaning usually starts at check out. Then in the morning when we were leaving. Two housekeepers were complaining out in the hallway. Talking about "not getting paid enough" ect. Well I wouldn't pay you either if you cant clean correctly. I'm sure it isn't all the housekeepers. I did like the customer service at the front desk. That was a plus. Rooms aren't too bad if they are cleaned correctly. No signs of bed bugs (thank god) I always have a phobia with those and will not stay at one if any reviews state that. They appear to be remodeling too. I travel often through out Michigan to do reviews on many hotels, food, activities and so much more. Would I give this place another try? Yes. They need to hire housekeepers that want to work, we are adults and they shouldn't need their hands held to do their job.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND the rooms are roomy, clean, and up to date. The beds are comfortable. It has a small refrigerator and microwave with coffee maker and has coffee and tea bags. The FREE breakfast was also a bonus as there was waffles, muffins, bagels, 4 kinds of cereals, hard boiled eggs, different kinds of yogurt, regular and cinnamon bread, small danishes, oatmeal, then there was coffee, orange juice and apple juice. The staff at check in was great, friendly and got us checked in fast. Then the next morning staff was amazing also. Had a wonderful 1st stay experience. We usually stay at the hotel next door but definitely will stay here again when we come to town. The ONLY down side is there is NO pool. They do have a fitness center which is on the 2nd floor.

Another great stay at the Ramada Wyndham in Grayling. I've posted another review from a stay 2 weeks ago. My review has not changed. It is not the greatest hotel but it gets the job done. Skiers and snowmobilers are most welcome her. Rooms are clean and comfortable breakfast in the morning, playground, pool, hot tub, arcade. Plenty of places to hang out in the courtyard. Bar and restaurant upfront. Hotel is close to town and to Hanson Hills rec area. I'd like to commend Kathy up front. She did a wonderful job checking us in and arranging our rooms for our trip ahead of time. Thank you for another Great stay!

The fact that Expedia and similar sites do business with this establishment is a shock in itself. Actually - I'm surprised Wyndham and Days Inn are still affiliated with the Manager here (Chris).

This is a budget hotel - which is not the issue. BUT If you plan to budget this stop into your business trip or vacation, expect to be up-charged for anything and everything (see other reviews).

I arrived with a previously booked reservation after a 13 hour drive and was told to leave the lobby before the manager, Chris, even checked my reservation. I had previously booked a pet friendly room. Upon arrival, Chris immediately told me HE overbooked and I had to leave the lobby immediately, resulting in me driving nearly two hours to another hotel in the middle of the night.

Note: I did not stay here at all, was barely in the lobby for 2 minutes. Chris did not deliver a "service" at all, but quite the opposite. Nonetheless, he was sure to keep my money and refuse to refund my payment. Chris didn't accommodate my previously booked reservation, didn't offer any other viable alternative, and kicked me out of the lobby - well worth the $150+...

If something similar happens to you, which there is a high probability it will (see other reviews) - Chris will act like he's accommodating your refund, but then he will be "too busy" to ever come back to the phone or process a refund.

6 Service members attempted to book 3 rooms. We were all turned away and told by the manager, I'm assuming, that he will not be giving us rooms as he would lose money giving 3 rooms for 6 Soldiers. We have a specific amount of government funding for our stay. We are here on mission, as we explained.

The manager informed us that if the government isn't giving us enough money for 6 Soldiers, that it was not "his problem" and informed us we would not be permitted to stay.

This individual knows there are joint operations this time of year and clearly was attempting to take advantage of service members.

I wish no ill will toward this individual as despite his attitude toward us we were able to find another hotel who had absolutely no issue taking all 6 of us.

For an establishment who only prioritizes profit, specifically with service members, instead of at least attempting to assist customers is not an establishment I would want to give my money to.

I hope many see this and think twice about the money they are giving to the owner/manager who would blatantly disregard service members who are only here to ensure we are ready to fight and protect the freedoms we...
