I really like this BK because they're always using fresh ingredients and have nice and jovial staff. I've only ever really had ONE bad time with the food when the nuggets were pretty far past fresh and were dried out. I ended up giving those to my great dane and he didn't have the same complaint I did (see his review for more info) lol.
The only other slight complaint (if you can call it that) is that they were doing this thing for a while at the drive-thru where you'd order and they'd say, "please wait a minute for the total". It wasn't a long wait (several minutes) but then after that they'd give the total and have you pull up. Interestingly the girl at the window apologized and volunteered (without any prompting) that they do that to "cut down on their drive thru time from speaker order to order completion" (handing you the food). Apparently, they were being monitored for how fast they were getting orders out, so buying a few minutes of extra time making you wait at the speaker while they make it before the clock starts ticking was the reason. I've noticed they've since stopped doing that for some reason.
But I mean, that's the only complaint. Only one time out of many other visits for the food and an inconsequenrial few extra minutes isn't really a bad track record at all.
I've been to a lot of other BK's over the years, (I prefer the flame broiled burgers). This one is the best one...
Read moreI walked up to the register and waited to be acknowledged before ordering. The guy said nothing, so I said "hi". Nothing still. I kind of turned my head to look right at him to see if he was actually ready to take my order, or if there was some explanation for not acknowledging me. Nope, nothing. This second part of my poor service rating is due to my order being made incorrectly the first time (no sauce on chicken wrap--so it's not like I was asking something to be cooked anew to-order). That happens, sure, and he acknowledged the mistake--but it wouldn't have been much of an issue if they had the chicken ready or almost ready when I first ordered. It took about 8 minutes to get the first order (incorrectly) made, and another 9 or 10 to have it remade. It was lunchtime and slightly busy, so it seemed to me like a manager was trying to save money on food not yet ordered, at the expense of the customers' time. They were putting down chicken nuggets by the same number people were ordering, rather than having this obviously high demand lunchtime food ready to go. I got back to work late.
Fast food has already gotten expensive, so if it's no longer fast--what appeal is there left? It's certainly...
Read moreI placed a mobile pick-up order and experienced an unacceptably long wait time. My order was simple: three Whopper sandwiches, two small fries, and one small onion ring — nothing complicated. After placing the order, I arrived at the restaurant and ended up waiting nearly 15 minutes inside (a total of at least 20 minutes after placing the order) before my food finally reached the mobile pick-up counter.
It was frustrating to see people ordering at the counter and receiving their food before me, despite my order being placed in advance. Orders should be handled in the order they come in. Otherwise, what's the point of ordering ahead if the restaurant is going to prioritize drive-thru and in-person orders over mobile pick-up?
That being said, the food was fine when I finally received it — no complaints there. The restaurant was also clean and well-maintained.
Edit: Stopped here again on my yearly trip to the upper peninsula and service is still incredibly slow. It wasn't even that busy but somehow I waited nearly 20 minutes for three whoppers, a couple of onion rings and two drinks. 20 minutes?? Some things...
