My wife Barbara and I visited the Four Seasons mall a few months back for our annual CHRISTmas photos with the mall Santa Claus and to purchase few gallons of Auntie Anne’s homestyle fresh lemonade. I must admit, the visit started off rocky… Barbara and the Santa got into a heated argument (Barbara mistakenly thought she smelled alcohol on Santa’s breath, but it was actually me who she was smelling). The argument caused my diverticulitis to act up which landed me on the commode for a solid thirty minutes (p.s. the mall decided to go ‘woke’ and install hand dryers instead of paper towels dispensers). Before we could make it to Auntie Anne’s, we were asked by security (quite impolitely, I might add) to leave the mall. On our way out, we passed Dillards and met Mahmood (the spelling may be incorrect), who changed our lives forever. Mahmood is a senior product specialist at the Furniture Land Store and he let us in on a secret … if we refurnished our entire home that day we could save an additional $500 AND receive an all expense paid vacation. I was immediately interested... I figured that refurnishing our home and vacationing with Mahmood could help Barbara and I re-establish the spark in our marriage (which has been otherwise dead for ten plus years). I was blown away by the excellent selection of goods available here - colors, cup holders, outlets, TVs, coolers, built in fireplaces, jewels, artwork, designs, styles, rugs, electrics, lights, toys, you name it. This place has it all. Thanks to Mahmood we were able to replace all of the drab furnishings in our home, which were mostly hand-me-downs from Barbara’s alcoholic father and Jehovah’s Witness mother who passed away in Person County in ‘03 following a nasty incident with fire ants. We traded out old wooden dining chairs for plush green velvet and shiny gold swivel chairs. We upgraded our four post Queen Anne style bed to a LUX California King bed (pink crushed velvet) with a Bhad Bhabie trim and bejeweled cup holders. For our living room we got a leather wrapped deLUXe executive suite couch package with more cup holders than an AMC movie theater. These guys really hooked us up (and they even taught Barbara and I what SZA is). The best part is that they offered competitive financing plans, with nice long multi-year terms. When we learned that they wouldn’t search our credit we were thrilled (considering Barbara and I have both been hovering in the low 400s for decades), and we signed on the dotted line immediately. They even delivered our items to the house and gave us design tips on where things should be placed. We love our new home (even though our son Scott threatened to disown us again over our alleged ‘short sighted decision making’). While our all expense paid resort vacation down in Myrtle did not solve our marital problems (Barbara left late last week to start a new life in Boise, Idaho with our former step nephew), I at least get to spend every evening on my sofa in VIP executive deluxe comfort, drinking my Busch Lites, by the warm glow of conservative cable tv news. Please check these guys out if you’re ever at the mall. They are the real deal, and I will be indebted to Mahmood forever (figuratively… only financially indebted for ten years or so). Thank you Furniture Land for believing in me and Barbara, and seeking us out at the mall that fateful December day. God bless these United States, and the kind folk at...
Read moreI really wanted to give this place 5 stars. The sales associate Joe was informative and helpful. The delivery part of all this has been terrible, we were told that from the time of purchase it was going to be delivered in that next week, we called before the date of delivery to get communication on what time they were coming to deliver, no one could give an accurate time frame, they also told us that we would get a call back.....no call. Friday morning comes, and we call again to get a time frame, they said 1pm to 4pm, we get a call back now its 6pm to 7pm, 8 o clock comes around and we haven't received a call, so we call back and then the person says I will call you right back to give you an update, 30 minutes past, we call back and then the person says we have to deliver it tomorrow because the truck broke down. (Again, this all could have been communicated) We ask if we can have it delivered in the morning, the person says no, deliver starts at 11am, the person says we can have it to you by 12pm. Saturday morning comes, now we have another window, between 1pm and 3pm. We get a call from the delivery person, and they are asking if it a house or an apartment ( we stay on the 3rd floor). He shows up with just him to deliver it to the 3rd floor!!!🤯🤯😩😩 How do they do that to their people!?! I felt so bad for this dude, I wish I could have helped, but I just had surgery (remind you, we asked if it was going to be a problem for delivery because of us being on the 3rd floor, we were told that it was no problem) its finally gets delivered and there's cords missing, things aren't working. To be continued.....let's see how this call...
Read moreDo not spend your hard-earned money at the furniture world located inside the Four Seasons Mall. This location does not care to build rapport, and they do not do good business in general. The absolute WORST customer service I have EVER experienced at a furniture store. I cannot even explain with words how nonchalant and lazy the on-site worker was who was supposed to be helping me with ordering the couch I already knew I wanted. The on-site worker never even said when I would get my couch. I had to ask (this is after he had already run my credit). And was answered with you “should” get it between 3-4 weeks. I received an incorrect model of the L-shaped sectional that I specifically asked for three days after being in the store. I call and tell them that what I got is not what I asked for. Can the correct L-shaped section be redelivered? I was told I would have to pay an additional $200 on top of the $1,300 couch I am trying to lease from them to fix their mistake. It discouraged me so bad I had an $1,800 credit line that I decided not to use the rest of and pay off the couch in full as soon as I could. This is a third-party furniture store. Go ahead and go to Ashely’s or Rooms to Go, were everything is what...
