As a first-time customer at Aldo, I'm very disappointed in the poor quality of customer service that I received today. I purchased a pair of earrings online and chose to do in-store pickup rather than have them shipped to my house. I picked up the earrings yesterday and decided I would return them the next day. According to the bottom of the receipt I received in store, which was less detailed and looked different than a register receipt (it was more like a printout from a computer), it said that I could return the earrings. There was NO mention that it was a final sale. But at the store, the sales associate said that all accessories were final sale. I respectfully explaind to the sales associate that on the printout that I received yesterday when I pick the earrings up, it said that they were returnable and did not mention that they were final sale. Even though the sales associate carefully examined the receipt and acknowledge that to be true, she still refused to return my money for the item. The assistant manager, Jean Claude, also refused.
Jean-Claude said the entire return policy is at the link available on the printout. But I did not receive that printout until I picked up the item, which had already been purchased online. Therefore, a customer would not know about the return policy until AFTER they make their purchase. Customers should be alerted that accessories are final sale BEFORE they make an online purchase NOT after.
Aldo is wrong for not informing customers about the return policy when they make a purchase online. This was my first purchase with Aldo and it is also my last.
I tried to call the 1-800 number to voice my concern and seek a proper solution, I was hung up on when I tried to explain the situation. I'll be reporting the incident to the Better Business Bureau. Aldo should be challenged to improve the transparency of their return policy and not be misleading to customers. Customer should not be expected to adhere to a return policy that is not clearly indicated or communicated to them. I only had access to the link for the return policy online after I made a purchase and tried to return it in store, which...
Read moreThe store manager Jordon is extremely rude and has no kind of tact!!!!! I went into the store on Saturday 7/7/18 to order a shoe for a up coming show I have to do.... the store was busy with customer everywhere.. Abby helped me with my decision and helped me superbly it was three different young ladies just standing around the register having conversation that did not pertain to aldo shoes or the customers standing in waiting ...... they ordered the completely wrong shoe in the wrong color. Called and spoke with Jordon white was extremely rude she cut me off and didn't want to hear anything about the mixup or the unnecessary conversation. Moral is if the management is rude and all over the place then the customer service will show good luck with this store hopefully this will help someone in the future with this store...
