I visited this gold store to get my jewelry appraised. The place is very clean and employee was very kind. I gave him a few pieces of 14kt gold weighing approximately 20 grams. There offer was $220. My response was “That’s it?” The offer was ridiculously low. I went online before coming to this store and figured out how to calculate the value of my gold which I recommend everyone should do. It’s not difficult at all. There are even youtube videos that show you how to calculate it. I kindly refused the offer and the salesperson then began with some sales pitch which I didn't have time to listen too. I was already turned off with the initial offer so I took my things and left. I advise that everyone stay away from this place. You can easily find another gold buyer that pays at least 30% more. Just do a google search for “gold buyers...

I would recommend to sell your precious metals to a different dealer. These guys pay below the spot price. Why would anybody want to sell there precious metals for less than what they are valued at?

I understand that businesses need to make a profit, and with precious metals, dealers typically charge a premium over spot price, when they sell it.

But to try and buy it from customers for less than spot price and then turn around and sell it over spot price, seems a little unethical to me.
