El Eden International Market — Local services in Hagerstown

The Latino or Mexican culture: Shoppers Latino and African American, Black Americans. The store has a variety of meats, fresh veggies and fruit. A neighbor referred me because I was searching for fresh fish and ox-tails now known to be cow tails. It appeared to be fresh inside of the glass, noticed there was not a fishy smell, but didn't pay much attention since it was in glass unlike at a real meat market. Anyways as I cleaned cut and prepped the fish to my liking it took 20 minutes on both sides to cook. Red flag. So in stead of eating it I forked through it pulling out what appeared to be larvae but was hard as rock. I took it back to the store. They assumed me that it was something the fish had eaten. Another red flag in that the fish head had been removed and it was gutted. Fish is not thick and rubbery once cooked so yet another flag. Let them keep the fish got some fruit 🍓🍑...

I work in Hagerstown so just happened to drive by this place and stop because my daughter has been looking for a type of stir fry spicy noodles that she gets on Amazon. the brand is buldak stir fried Ramen. And it says International market so I thought they would have you know a variety of stuff. I did find some noodles but not the type I was looking for I also asked if they had melting cheese to make queso with and they did not which I thought was odd. I was impressed with the store and it exceeded my expectations for items they had. On the day I visited which was my first time, I initially went to another grocery store close by but the store was closed during their business hours. I reluctantly visited El Eden Latino Grocery hoping I could at least find certain meats. Not only did I find the meats, I found so much more food stuff that I usually find at African grocery stores.
