Terrible customer service. I am a wheelchair user, and the person that booked our room SPECIFICALLY requested a wheelchair accessible room. When the woman at the front desk was reminded of this, all she said was “that wasn’t in my notes” and proceeded to not put any effort into even checking the availability of the accessible rooms, much less putting us into one. Definitely an APA violation. Shame on them. To add onto that, the woman at the front desk clearly did not even want to let us in even though we had a reservation. Without even checking our IDs, she took one look at us and said “we don’t allow guests without someone over 21” (most of us were in fact 21+ and she would know that had she ID’d us). When we told her about that and showed ID’s, she then proceeded to change the policies on the spot. She first said we can’t be under 21, we proved that most of us weren’t, then she said that the person booking the room can’t be under 21 (which was never disclosed beforehand), I offered to put it under my name since I was over 21, and then she seemed to blatantly make up that NO ONE can be under 21 at this hotel. Read moreI am so thankful for the folks here. We stayed at the Ashworth for what we thought the room they gave is was for 2 nights ... I get a text at 8am saying thank you for staying. Let us know when you are checking out. I went to the general manager. She told me the 360 was the rate for one night. This was during February mind you. So we asked for another night... but they booked out. I tried to explain to her the mishap. But she shunned me. So basically we had to just leave. We shrugged it off. We saw signs for this place.. what a great staff!!! So we went in, and we're greeted with a smile and got us settled in and it was 120$ per night. So we stayed for 2 days!! We had a room that was a side view... and it was more than I expected. Beautiful view. The Ashworth was front view, but the room was drab compared to this place. I called Ashworth to get my deposit ( yes ... a deposit) and they never called back. I tried again, and still no deposit. Thank you one and all for helping and saving a nice...
Read morehi! these people were called within an appropriate time in order to recover a beloved sentimental possession. the blue stuffed bear they’re “sick of hearing about.” any items in the room were completely recoverable at the point of calling. they did not call back. they were again called and got angry and said it wasn’t in a lost and found box so don’t turn around. they don’t put anything from rooms in the box. they steal it or throw it away. the room hadn't even been checked into again at the time of calling. when the poor family tried to get in contact again they were verbally abused.
i will not be staying at this hotel and will be telling everyone i know to cancel any reservations and not stay here either until the bear is returned to that family. a lot of people online feel the same way after speaking with the poor family on reddit and desperately trying to help them. the hotel has responded poorly to everyone and deserves every bit of bad press this is going to result in. they’re going...
