Breakers Restaurant — Restaurant in Hampton

I’m trying to understand why this restaurant has the stars it dose. When we sat ourselves as the sign said a waitress said she would be over as soon as possible. Not b4 we waited 10 mins b4 being acknowledged. Due to taking our drinks after 20 mins of the waiter repeatedly saying she’ll be right over the beer options were slim due to all they’re taps being broken. Which ok things happen. We then receive our drinks and aside from the beers my sister and I had cocktails. I simply ordered a Bloody Mary for which instantly I knew it wouldn’t taste right after seeing the color. The mixture was more of a tarnished brown color and was quite watery. Not only was it bland and watered down I just couldn’t bare the flavor. It was terrible. My sister cocktail was over done with Alcohol and also tasted terrible which they also didn’t have the proper ingredients to make anyways. Moving from there I did return my beverage as I tried so hard to like it. We then ordered multiple appetizers, salads and of course meals. In the meantime the presence of our waitress was very slim. She seemed more attentive towards her other tables rather then us. We receive our apps, salads, and food almost at the same time. My clam chowder was cold. Our chaser salad had more croutons with the lettuce being more of a garnish. The scallops were not as mentioned on the menu and also not tasty. The “prime rib nachos” well let’s just say I’ve had prime rib and that wast it. I have to say the spinach dip was the only app out of the 4 apps that was decent. The burgers the simple burgers were awful. We ordered medium which we got medium well and the beef itself was almost chewy not tender at all and a weird texture. However they’re fry’s are very good. At the end of it al it was disappointing to pay a pretty pricy bill for not being able to eat much of what we ordered. Our waitress was one of the worst I've ever had. She asked if we wanted appetizers before realizing she didn't even give us menus yet. She didn't ask what we wanted for dinner until she was clearing our appetizer plates away. We were probably there for an hour and a half before our dinner came, (which for the very high prices should have been much better than it was). Granted we were a large party but she could have sped things up. At no point during the meal was I asked if I wanted more water, and I had 4 empty glasses in front of me because I was drinking everyone else's waters. She spent the same amount of time at our table with 15 people as she did with the table behind us which had 1 person at it. They refused to split the check even though we asked before we ordered any food. They said their system is too old which I don't believe for a second. I had to comb through a $400 bill and find what items were on each person's bill and use scrap paper to write a list for our waitress with how much to put on each credit card. It took me 30 minutes. This is part of the Ashworth hotel. I honestly was not impressed. So we stayed over night and it was not a pleasant experience. So we had a great day on the beach. First we came to the bar for a few drinks. It wasn't to busy and it wasn't busy. Our bartender was named Jonny. My god was he the worst bartender I have ever had. I asked about the happy hour special, specifically the five dollar well drink. I drink jack and coke. I asked if these were part of it. He stated. Sure, I hate my job and I don't care. I didn't mine so I had a few more. The service was absent. He was more concerned with a certain couple than everyone else at the bar. Once the tab came another bartender checked us out. I said Jonny said they were five bucks. He yelled no I didn't and smiled at me. Honestly I was irritated. Do not tote you hate your job and lie. It's uncalled for. I don't typically leave bad reviews but this one takes the cake. We went back for dinner service and the food was.over the top. Absolutely delicious. There seafood is on point.
