We ended up booking this hotel as the one we used to go to was booked out. The location is very beautiful from one side with a gorgeous view of the river , the hills and even a waterfall , well kept landscape with cute little bridges...very nice really . In the other side instead there is a very busy and loud road , my bedroom was facing that side and it definitely woke me up the noise of every lound veicle , not to mention the 7 am garbage truck that picked up the trash right by our window . The room was clean when we arrived and it was nice to have a kitchen and with a little island and although we did not use them there was also a washing machine and a dryer. The bathroom had a shower , not bath tub. The bedroom was very small , barely fits a crib by the side of the bed. They could've definitely put a day bed rather than the most uncomfortable sofa bed on the planet , which also did not have bedshits on and we had to look for them and make the bed by ourselves with some very cheap polyester bedsheets that we found in a closet. Dog friendly? Not sure about that. 150 $ per stay felt very unfair considering that we stayed only 2 nights. Dogs are not allowed to stay in the room while you are out ( so where are they supposed to stay while you go to the restaurant etc ? Locked in the car in the heat?) And there was a bag in the room with poop bags provided (which was nice but they don't have little trash bins around the park so it was a challenge finding a bin to dispose them) a little dog blanket, a biscuit and a piece of paper that basically says very clearly that dogs are not allowed on the carpet nor on the furniture. They don't privide propre blackout curtains indeed we were all up early in the morning and it was definitely a challenge for my kid to nap in the afternoon with so much light. I have to mention that by the car park , where they have a little area with some plants there was a siringe that someone threw there and it concerned me but when I tried to call them it went to a voice-mail that was also full so couldn't leave a message.

We were looking for a romantic getaway for our 2nd anniversary when we booked a room at Columbia Cliff Villas. We ended up getting a good deal for an upgrade to the Riverview Suite room (off-season perks). Here is an idea of what to expect: a fully stocked kitchen, a fireplace in every room, a Smart TV to log into your own accounts from your phone, a private balcony overlooking the river to enjoy morning coffee or evening wine, a soaking tub and a shower that you could literally do yoga in if you wanted to. Aside from the accommodations themselves being luxurious, spacious, and well prepared, we were most surprised by and grateful for the peace. It was early December, however, we didn’t hear a peep from anyone during our stay. It truly was the peaceful, scenic, intimate getaway experience that we were dreaming of to celebrate our love during. Staff were accommodating, professional, and kind as well. Local Coffee beans and smith tea bags stocked in kitchen, and delicious smelling nest bathroom products. Villas and neighboring hotel grounds both decorated in a whimsical and fantastical Christmas display. Stop your scrolling and book a riverview room at the Cliff Villas. If you have kids or are traveling in a group (or are looking for the best of the best), book a suite. The penthouse is the same but with the best view. We kept fantasizing about returning with 2 more couple when we have kids. The true home away from home, but better. PS- during your stay, don’t look farther past Marquesi and Hood Crest wineries, Celilo for dinner, Remedy Cafe for b-feast, and Tilly Janes to catch a game. The Goodwill Boutique is a great find in case you forgot something at home, or need need cheap warming gear. TLDR; if you’re not looking for a boring hotel room, go ahead and book here. Don’t bring a thing else because they have it all.

I will start this by saying, this is a nice place and pretty good location (not walkable to DT due to highway, distance, and limited sidewalks), but we had a bad experience here with the owner. This is a place where you should feel safe and your stuff should be safe. We were here for 3 nights and our bikes got stolen on night 3. They were locked up outside of the hotel and the lock was cut. This was in a dead end with no through traffic, so its suspicious that someone outside of the hotel staff or guests would be in the area where they were locked. There are garages on location, but we were not notified that we could use the garages to keep our bikes safe even though we asked about riding trails etc. When we requested security footage, they were unable to produce it because "their cameras had a problem". When we requested at least a night of our stay to be comped due to our bikes being stolen in a "safe" area locked up and no security footage, we were denied by the owner. I just dont feel like thats good customer service. If garages weren't extended for our use and you cant produce footage becuase of "faulty cameras", at least show some sympthay and comp 1 night. He claimed no liability. What if instead of a bike being stolen, someone had been robbed at gunpoint and your cameras dont work? Are you then still not liabable for providing a safe place for guests? If you are staying here, be aware of this. Staff or someone is watching for your valuables to take! No fridge or microwave in the rooms. Very bare bones.

Buyer Beware or you will experience Buyer’s Remorse! Extremely disappointed in Columbia Cliff Villas! I have stayed in King Bed Villa rooms before at Sun River, Suncadia, Coeur d’Alene Resort, Resort on The Mountain etc, but had less than half of the experience at Columbia Cliff Villa. I had a planned a romantic ski trip for my fiancé and I for three days at Columbia Cliff Villas on the weekend of Feb 12, 2016. It was the weekend of her birthday, Valentine’s Day, and Presidents Day. After what we experienced, we will never stay there again nor will we recommend it to anyone. Columbia Cliff Villas seemed like a bait and switch, luring unsuspecting clients by their website’s customer reviews, its website’s description and photos. After baiting the client by the website, the client receives less than desirable accommodations. Our King bed hotel room was so small that it felt like it was a walk in closet converted into room with a bathroom. Extremely small for the price we paid ($162.00 / night). Value does not match the price charged. Our privacy was interrupted several times throughout our first night stay; our neighbor’s barking dog, our neighbors conversations (We clearly heard ever word they said as if they were in the same room as us), road noise from the interstate outside our window (which kept us up all night), and yes, clearly hearing the neighbors having intercourse (Wasn’t sure if we were to get therapy to block the experience out of our memory or grade their performance). Need less the say, the walls were not insulated (paper thin / equivalent to being made of rice paper). Not Romantic or private. We have nothing against dogs, good conversation, and romantic conquest, but we don’t want to hear it from someone else. We’re not sure if the other condos are set up the same, but we speculate that our condo converted each bedroom into very tiny sleeping quarters in which they call Luxury hotel rooms. It was barely bigger then a closet for $162.00. Since they had a nonrefundable policy after checking in, the next morning we packed our things, and left without saying a word. We felt so conned out of our money, that we were afraid that if we announced our departure, they would try to sell the room again to another unsuspecting client. We eventually found a comfortable private hotel room in Troutdale Oregon at the Comfort Inn. This room was 2 times bigger for half the price. We never heard noise from the small airport or interstate outside our window. It wasn’t what we originally wanted, but we had our privacy. Columbia Cliff Villas basically manipulated us out of $490.00. There is something shady going on, and needs to be reported. Suggestion for the owner:

  1. Define “euro room” = A King bed stuffed into a walk in closet.
  2. Visit other hotels before labeling a closet a King Bed Luxury Hotel Room. Motel 6 is a step up and will enlighten. King Bedrooms are much larger.
  3. Insulate the walls for privacy. No one should be subjected to the neighbors “getting it on” if they don’t want to or have to listen...

I do not want to stay here anymore!! The women on the phone was so rude when I tried to reschedule my anniversary trip.

I didn't want to reschedule the trip but I had to considering I was non stop throwing up and had to spend 5 hours in the urgent care on IV fluids, nausea and pain medication for the amount of pain I was in. When I called the hotel to tell them I couldn't come, they wanted me to reschedule right there or I would get charged the room rate of almost $300.00, so I promptly said lets try again in 3 weeks. Well its been a week and 1/2 since my anniversary and I am still sick and I can not find someone to care for my 3 young children on the day they rescheduled for me so when I called to let them know the situation, the women at Columbia Cliff Villas hotel promptly let me know their policy's and that they don't care about anyone else they just want to collect their money cause they are a mom and pop business. OK well let mom and pop call me so I can let them know that I am still sick and would really like to come stay in their beautiful hotel for my anniversary but please be understanding that my all my family lives 4-6 hours away and I need this to work for their schedule. I had to ask the women on the phone to be NICE several times! I get people probably lie to hotels all the time to cancel their reservations but I told her I would send all the proof of my urgent care visit. what I don't get is someone being rude because someone is having a hard time figuring out a good time to reschedule... also I would think a mom and pop business would be understanding of this unfortunate situation.

she did end up rescheduling me, but informed me that her manager was going to throw a fit about it. all I was looking for was someone helpful and I got someone that was very hurtful. I always planned on having a "make up" anniversary trip I just needed some advice on what to do with their policies to avoid being charged almost $300 so I could actually afford to take a trip when I could figure out a plan. I will never ever make a reservation at this hotel again. this is NOT a business I...
