Property 4 stars Room. 3 stars Check in. 1 star Staff. 1 star
I usually try to keep my reviews short but feel this one deserves a little more detail.
I booked my room ahead of arrival and requested an accessible room with king bed and roll in shower. Upon arrival we were greeted by a smiling and cheerful young lady who immediately proceeded to assist us in checking in. We she pulled our reservation up on the computer she immediately contacted, who I can only assume was her supervisor and told him that the room they had us booked in was not what we had requested. We were unable to hear his response to her but after a little discussion she finished checking us in and sent us to room 131.
We entered the room and was immediately impressed by the room's cleanliness (smelled wonderful), roominess, and just overall appearance. We then proceeded to the restroom which was no where even remotely close to being accessible and had a tub instead of a roll in shower. We then gathered our belongings and returned to the front desk.
After some time we were eventually put in a room, with two of the smallest queen beds I have ever seen but did have an acceptable restroom. This room while clean was not as cosmetically appealing as the previous room it. The desk was quite wobbly, the window sill was dirty, the bed ruffles were all out of sorts, and there was a hair in the sink. All of which were not deal breakers. The bed was comfortable and served its purpose. The TV was good but the channel selection was lacking. All in all I would give the room 3 stars.
My biggest issue was with the gentleman who I am assuming was the person in charge for the night. He never interacted with us only with the desk clerk. He was not dressed professionally. His attire included an untucked shirt and what appeared to be house slippers. His overall attitude was very offputting. The young lady working the desk was great. She was friendly, helpful, dressed appropriately, and acted very professional. All other staff I encountered were helpful and courteous. I would rate the staff with 4 stars but the actions of the one gentleman drags that rating to a...
Read moreDuring my recent business trip to Huntsville, AL, I stayed at SpringHill Suites, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, the welcoming atmosphere and attentive staff made me feel right at home.
The check-in process was swift, and the receptionist was incredibly friendly, offering me a map of the area and highlighting nearby restaurants and attractions. My suite was spacious, modern, and impeccably clean. The layout was perfect for both relaxation and getting some work done, with a comfortable bed, a well-lit work desk, and a cozy sitting area.
One of the highlights of my stay was the complimentary breakfast each morning. The variety and quality of the food were outstanding, with options ranging from fresh fruits and yogurt to hot items like eggs, bacon, and waffles. The dining area was clean and inviting, making for a pleasant start to each day.
The hotel’s amenities also stood out. I made use of the fitness center, which was well-equipped and maintained, allowing me to keep up with my workout routine. The location of the hotel was convenient, being close to the Research Park and various dining options, yet still in a quiet area that ensured a peaceful night’s sleep.
What really set this stay apart was the staff’s dedication to making my visit memorable. On my last evening, I mentioned to the front desk that it was my birthday. Later that night, I found a small cake and a handwritten card in my room from the hotel staff, wishing me a happy birthday. This thoughtful gesture truly made my stay special.
Overall, my experience at SpringHill Suites Huntsville was outstanding. The combination of excellent service, comfortable accommodations, and thoughtful touches made it a stay to remember. I will definitely be returning on my next visit...
Read moreMy family and I came to Huntsville, AL for graduation. My wife booked a double bed suite on the app. We were given a single king bedroom. When discussing this with the woman in the front, she said, "I can not help you because I don't know how to correct it." When I asked for the manager, she said the manager was unavailable. She mentioned that the manager was gone for the day and that she would call him and let him know. Within 5 mins, she left and a new person came on to work. When I didn't receive a call or any update, I asked the new lady on the front regarding the status of our changing room, only for her to tell me, the lady who just left told her, there was nothing they could do. We were essentially stuck with a room we did not reserve. I'm not even sure there is a Manger because I continued to ask for a Manager and (1) never got a call and (2) the Manager was always "away."
Additionally - we got in late Friday night and had a late start to the Saturday morning. My sons went down to get breakfast about 5 mins after they were closing. When my sons asked if they could grab some food while putting it up, the worker snapped at my sons telling them they should have been down on time. This isn't good Customer Service at all.
We also had wifi issues. During my 3 day stay, I never had internet access. I called several times to get assistance and was never help. I am a pastor and I needed that access to the internet to have my service. The lady at the front desk was not helpful.
Honestly, I am beyond disappointed with this hotel and how we were treated. I am planning to write the general manager with a more detailed complaint regarding our stay there. It was a complete rip-off of our...
