I recently went in to the Medical mall for my 3 Hour Glucose sugar testing. the nurse took my blood, made me drink the pure sugar drink you have to drink then took my blood again an hour later, so far so good, I come back for the next hour for them to take it again, theres another patient sitting in the hair having his blood drawn so i wait patiently until he is done. when he gets up I still wait because I was waiting for them to clean off the chair at least before i sat down to be poked... they never cleaned it. stupid me sat down anyway ready to have this testing over with, it's a different nurse but i did not think anything of it until she STARTED ASKING SOMEONE HOW TO TAKE MY BLOOD WITH A NEEDLE IN MY ARM!!!! turns out she was a student nurse and i was never informed, she blew out my vein there's a huge blue/ purple/ green bruise. She didn't stop when i expressed pain and SAW MY ARM SWELLING. when she did stop she had to get me water i was dizzy and still ended up vomiting thus cancelling my glucose test all together, which I will have to miss another day of work and get stabbed with needles all over again. after wards being hormonal all i wanted was to complain to anybody who would listen i attempted to call to speak with a manager, supervisor, director, anything really and got the run around because they simply did not care about what happened to me I ended up livid and marched my happy butt right in there turns out the person in charge WAS NEW TOO! wtfffff?!?! please guys get your blood work done anywhere else. This place is DANGEROUS! If i could give negative...
Read moreI had an MRI done on Friday at 530. They were quick to call me to the back to prep me. The nurse who put my IV in was horrible!! I bled everywhere. All down my arm. All in the chair. She kept saying I don't know what happened. She told me when she injected the saline I would taste it or smell it. Yeah I could taste it alright. I tasted blood--How Disgusting!!!! When she went to get me a blanket, I heard her telling another nurse as if she was laughing about it. During the MRI listening to 104.3 was just horrible I would of rather just listen to the Jack hammer for 40 mins. I froze the entire time I was being tested. When it was time to get the contrast the nurse just pulled the bed out of the machine with no warning. I thought I was gonna fall off the bed. I went on a friday evening cause it worked better with my schedule. If these nurses don't like their job or don't want to work fridays maybe they should look for a new profession. I would much rather do my imaging at the hospital and pay a higher copay then deal with their lack of...
Read moreWe made an appointment far in advance with a plethora of appointments available for the lab department at HSV medical mall. We've waited 45+ minutes past the appointment and we are still waiting. Why? What is the purpose of making appointments if they are not honored and kept on schedule? And why do you offer so many other appointment time slots that cannot be kept on time and your facility is understaffed and backed up with too many patients waiting to be seen? It would be nice to give the other labs the ability to complete specialized bloodwork labs. If OXR had the abilities, we would have been in and out promptly. Please rethink and revamp your appointment procedures to prevent client's from waiting elongated unnecessary times! Also, be mindful of your employees, lunch time, and adjust your scheduling accordingly. Two lab techs are NOT enough for the amount of appointments offered. Balance your schedules realistically and appropriately for the patients and employees. Respecting your staff and patients' time makes for a better...
