Well, I'm not sure what happened :/. The first time we came here we were blown away by everything and raved to everyone about the experience. The second time we visited was, unfortunately, probably also the last time. Everything had gone downhill: *LIQUOR TAXES were a shocking surprise on the second visit, especially considering how bad the drinks were. While the cocktails were advertised at $15-$17 on the menu, the taxes made them come out to be about $20-$22 each. CO/OP needs to change the menu to reflect the price WITH the liquor taxes. That would certainly be more honest and helpful. *COCKTAILS were not good (either prepared with incorrect proportions or just bad recipes to begin with) *FOOD was just okay. The portions were insanely small especially considering the price. Two of us ordered the scallops, and each plate had 4 small (less than 2" diameter) scallops and a little nest of pasta. The other person ordered steak again because it was so good the first time, but it too was just eh this go-round. *SERVICE was okay. The staff was less attentive (but definitely not busier), but the worst part was that they couldn't be bothered with bread service (which was automatic and complimentary last time). In summary, we're obviously pretty disappointed on many levels. *Obviously, this just our experience. This review is meant for subjective consideration.

This hidden gem! Inside the Embassy Suites hotel this casual little place making fantastic foods. Started with PEI Mussels. The broth is superb! To get the perfect bite, soak up the broth with the toasted baguette, add a mussel, smoked blistered tomato or chile's and a piece of the locally sourced andouille sausage. Then I had the Scallops and cauliflower risotto. The Scallops were seared perfectly and placed on top of the risotto. Not sure how they did it, but the cauliflower had the perfect texture of real risotto. But the best part of the risotto was the pieces of smoked pork belly! Then topped with a black garlic oil drizzle. I'll go back for this dish alone! Then to finish up, the Crème Brûlée was just as amazing. The autumn spiced crème stacked on top of an apple purée then topped with candied apple sliced. It was unbelievably good! The service staff was just as good as the quality of food, and that's hard to find nowadays. With the live music, the fantastic food and staff, we will be back again.

I can’t say enough about this restaurant. 6/5 stars if possible. Beginning with the atmosphere, it’s perfectly lit, everything is new and clean, and aesthetically pleasing. The live music is a perfect touch and not too loud. The service- outstanding. Our server Amy was fantastic and gave excellent recommendations based off our preferences which she took the time to ask and get to know. I hope the restaurant reads this review and gives her a big shout out. The drinks were stellar. Highly recommend the signature drink with bourbon in it. The food was top notch. Everything we ordered was cooked and flavored to perfection. (I wasn’t super hungry so I got the basic cheeseburger, but it was still very good and reasonably priced) DO NOT FORGET THE DESSERT. The banana pudding might have been the best I’ve ever had. Will be back here again, and if you got this far in my review, you need to go here for anything from casual drinks with friends, fancy date night, or business meetings.

My husband and I came here a few months ago and we're massively disappointed. We have no plans to ever go back.

We had a reservation for 6pm but got there around 5:30. We stopped at the hostess stand and told the kid that we were early and asked if we could we sit at the bar. He said it was no problem to go ahead and seat us at our table. There were MAYBE three tables that had customers at them. Our waitress promptly greeted us. She was friendly and took our drink order. When she came back with our drinks she told us that they had a seating of over 90 people later and that if we wanted another drink from the bar we should order that as soon as possible. We were surprised by that comment considering the restaurant was not busy at all, and we were so early for our reservation. Now we felt rushed and like we couldn't enjoy ourselves. She came back almost immediately to take our order. My husband ordered the steak off of the menu, and asked for it to be cooked medium rare. Our food was brought out to us scarily quick. Less than 10 minutes quick. The waitress came back within two minutes of us getting our food and asked how it was. She came back again a couple minutes after that. My husband hadn't cut open his steak yet and she specifically asked him to go ahead and cut it to make sure it was cooked okay because they've had issues with that in the past... Big red flag. It was cooked well done. They had butterflied the cut, presumably to speed up cooking, and then way over cooked it. My husband isn't one to return food and we were already feeling rushed so he told the waitress it was fine. She looked relieved and walked away. Meanwhile, the manager (?) was also making rounds and stopping to talk to the tables. He seemed bored and like he was chatting up tables to have something to do. He stayed and talked to us for a couple minutes. Never actually asking about the food. The waitress came by again and dropped off our ticket... Didn't ask if we wanted dessert (which we did), never asked about getting us another drink, nothing. And then the manager guy comes by yet again to pick up conversation.... It was such a a bizarre dinner. Only one other table was sat while we were there. And we were in and out in about 30 minutes. Definitely not what you expect when spending that amount of money. Felt more like an Applebee's.

We ended up walking over to The Revivalist to get more drinks (which were much better than the ones we got here) and to get dessert. Had better service even though we just walked in. They were actually busy, unlike Co/Op. Had better food. Wasn't made to feel rushed. An all around better experience.

TL;DR We felt rushed and constantly bombarded by the staff as they came to talk or "check" on us. The food that was cooked right was mediocre. We were given our ticket to pay instead of asked if we wanted anything else. Ended up going to another restaurant afterwards to get drinks and dessert and had a much better...

Hands down one of the worst dining (or lack of dining) experiences my wife and I have ever had! From the moment we walked up, on time for our reservation, the hostess was no where to be found. Mind you, the restaurant was not even full. After waiting 10 minutes, we were finally seated. After being seated, we weren’t greeted nor approached by ANY of the staff that was working. The table next to us (less than 2 feet away) was finishing their meal and the server checked on them multiple times, even brought them their bill. Not once was there a hello or even a look in our direction. We weren’t spoken to until I got up and stopped the Manager who was walking by to say something. No apology, just a “I’ll get your server.” Once the server finally did come over, it was like we were a nuisance and it was clear she did not want to be helping us. She said nothing about the wait and gave no explanation. Since we had a significant amount of time waiting, we really wanted to order some drinks. We ordered the two special drinks the restaurant was promoting that evening (and the entire restaurant was also drinking) and the server put in the order. Another 10 minutes went by, still no communication, and we still hadn’t gotten our drinks. When we finally saw the server head to the bar, she grabbed the drinks and took them to a couple that had gotten there after us. At that point my wife and I were completely frustrated and left after taking a couple sips of water that we were reluctantly given. From start to finish, we were there for an hour and had received nothing. This experience was worst one that I’ve had over the last 10 years of eating at high-end restaurants around the country. This is disappointing and disheartening. All of the restaurants we visited over the last seven years living in Huntsville have been absolutely fantastic. It’s sad that the newer restaurants in the area (this one particularly) do not share a high quality of service mentality.

So, in the end we decided to celebrate our anniversary at our go-to, Poppy and Parliament. We were instantly greeted by multiple staff, sat promptly, served drinks in less than 5 minutes (and with a SMILE), and congratulated on our anniversary. We had a fantastic...

Where do I start? Let's see, one other group of four came in while we were dining. Other than that the place was empty, including the bar. The Hostess/Manager/I don't know what, showed us to our table, and other than seeing him bounce back and forth for the entrance to the bar, was nonexistent. I thought when all of the orders of roasted broccoli cane out COLD, he might again grace us with his presence, but no, he was to busy at the empty bar keeping the bartender company I guess. She did look bored. The best our server could come up with was, he was NOT going to charge us for the cold broccoli and removed it from the table. Really, your not going to charge me for food that's suppose to be Roasted Broccoli but was served at an estimate 56°? What happened to, "could I bring you something else". Anyway, the other for was, let's just say, grossly over priced. And I definitely would not recommend the Butternut Squash Soup. I would have liked to have tried the fried okra, which our server recommended and said was a big seller, but by 5:30 in the afternoon, they had run out. The only thing else I can say, is if you decided to chance eating at this establishment, bring a spare drink with you. Our server stayed in the kitchen so much, we joked that he must also be the cook. I did scan the other table, and yes, their drinks were empty also. My recommendation is, if you're really, really hungry and this is the only restaurant available, go to the gas station and get some...
