Stayed 4 nights for work in nearby towns. Manager was very pleasant. I read all the recent positive 5 star ratings and quite frankly couldnt disagree more. |The room was sparsely decorated and dimly lit. The furniture including beds had the appearance of the free stuff people leave at the ends of driveways... If you like the whole "shabby chic" thing, this room provides a lot of shabby. The beds did not have a duvet or any kind of bed spread. Just sheets and thin ragged looking blanket. The hard floor was nice looking and at first a welcoming escape from the traditional carpeting of most rooms that carry the odors of years of patrons. Unfortunately I found out just how dirty and unkept the floor really was after taking my socks off before bed. Yuck. it felt like walking through crumbs and dirt. AC unit not really up to snuff. I immediately cranked it up to cool the room and after a few minutes it started blowing humid tepid air. The manager did try to fix it and told me he would move me if necessary. That being said, it worked well enough after that to not warrant the move.|The bathroom window would not close or lock. The bathroom itself was not the cleanest. Guessing a product of years of poor cleaning procedures. And I'll add I did not receive any maid service the entire stay. Had to go to office to get fresh towels.|Overall, its fairly economical , but outside of cable tv, refrigerator, and microwave, this motel offers no other meaningful amenities. |Would I stay again? Probably not based on this experience. |I get it, it’s an economy motel and I’m only sleeping there, but the owner needs to update and renew. Stop...
Read moreThis hotel is gross! Sheets are not white and all bedding doesn't match in every room. They look like donations from the local goodwill. I asked for pillows and got this old yellow pillow that looked like a throw pillow from the 70's. We stayed in this hotel for about a month because my husband works as a cable contractor and ended up leaving early. On our last day there my husband was caught up at work and couldn't get back to pay the hotel by 11 so they (maintenance guy & his wife the housekeeper) threatened to throw me and my children out or have us removed by the police. They were both very rude. We had never not paid and was only late this one time. The owner (front desk) avoided me and allowed her dog to sit and bark at me for minutes before she came out to greet me and she's very rude. Some people should not work in the hospitality industry. When I went up front to talk to her (no phone in the room) about paying it took her several minutes to come out. I ended up leaving my drivers license up front so they wouldn't remove me & my children. The first room we were in for 3 weeks had a leak from above shower and a giant hole in the ceiling where the tiles were falling down. The next room they moved us to for the last week we were there was the one that had two different bedspreads and multicolored sheets and mismatched everything on the bed. The shower had not been cleaned because there was still a dirty wet washcloth laying on the floor. The carpet was very old, musty, dirty and was ripped up near the doorway. If you have the opportunity to stay anywhere else I would highly...
Read moreI booked this as I was n town for a week and the rate was 50$ and was only going to be in the room for a place to sleep. When we got in our room I believe it was 29 the double bed room had a small bed and a bigger bed. The 1 comforter had a huge hole with the stuffing coming out of it as if a mouse or a dog ate threw it, I went to the front desk and the lady said she was sorry and said just throw the blanket on the ground outside the door and gave me a blue blanket. Then I went back and the wife was inspecting the room and the pillow on the bigger bed had a burn mark from a cigarette and it was a non smoking room. So I went back to the front desk and the lady said were not a chain hotel so they don't clean the rooms as good and that's why the price is lower. She didn't have a different pillow but she did give me a different pillow case. She said if I wanted I could check out and get my money back, I told her it was to late tonight but would tomorrow, it was 1130 at night. Then I got back and there was a lot of cobwebs and the bathroom had mold in it. The next morning my wife and kids wanted to sleep in until checkout and I had to leave early for work so I tried getting my money back and the lady said until I return the key she wouldn't I said there checking out at 11 and she said no. So I went to work and the wife checked out and she did give us our money back. The place is a dive and nasty. It's worse then a motel 6. We boked a room at the days inn about a mile away and for 20$ more it was so worth it.. sorry so long I wouldn't recommend this...
