My family just returned from seven nights at Three Waters. We absolutely loved it!! Room - We had a beautiful, spacious room overlooking the pool and ocean. The views from the balcony were gorgeous! The room had two very comfortable queens and a couch with a pull up day bed. My oldest daughter slept on the couch the whole week and loved it. The room was clean and the maid service was excellent. (Disclaimer….we were originally given a different room that was significantly smaller. Due to an issue, we ended up moving rooms. Our large family would not have been comfortable in the smaller room, so we were very thankful that the front desk manager helped us move! We also noticed that the bigger room we moved into seemed newer and in better condition overall.) Service - The staff at this hotel were amazing. Having stayed at other hotels in the area on previous trips, I can say that the staff here were by far the friendliest! Everyone was so kind and helpful. The front desk manager, Mark, was fantastic. All the activities staff, wait staff, bartenders, housekeeping…everyone was just so friendly!! Again, having stayed in other hotels, this service really stood out above some others. Property - The grounds were gorgeous. Beautiful views!! One of the things I really loved was how safe it felt letting my teenagers walk around on their own. We’ve stayed places where I did not feel comfortable letting them walk to areas of the hotel by themselves. But that was not the case here. Very reassuring. The resort was well lit at night as well. It was actually so pretty at night!! Pool/Beach - The pools were great! Plenty of chairs available. We loved the main pool the best. But did spend time at the quieter pool on days it got busy. The beach area was great for swimming! This is hard to come by in the Keys so we really appreciated this! There weren’t many negatives. But here are our only two “complaints”. 1- The food. It wasn’t bad. But it wasn’t great. It was just okay. And, we felt there were limited options. Prior to our trip we were excited at the prospect of so many food options right on site. However, we felt the menus were small and limited. We do enjoy going out to eat at many of the wonderful nearby restaurants anyway. So, it wasn’t a huge issue for us. But mid day when you’re enjoying the hotel and don’t want to leave for lunch, it would be nice to have more choices….especially at the pool. That was slightly disappointing. 2- Pets! We didn’t know ahead of time that it was a pet friendly hotel. To be honest, probably wouldn’t have stayed here if we had known. I’m not anti pet friendly, but I do wish there were specific rooms for pets and specific rooms that don’t allow pets. I personally don’t like staying in a hotel room that allows animals. Also didn’t enjoy waking up to the sound of the whining dog in the room above us. There were clear signs around the resort that said no dogs at the pool or on the beach. But this wasn’t enforced. (Can you tell I’m not an animal person?) It wasn’t a deal breaker for us though. It’s not like there were dogs everywhere you turned. Overall, we really loved this resort and would absolutely stay here again. The location was perfect. Close to so many great restaurants and activities. Can’t...

Nestled in a serene cove just off US-1, Three Waters Resort and Marina delivers the perfect blend of adventure, relaxation, and refined comfort in the heart of the Florida Keys. From the moment we arrived, the setting felt like a hidden gem — tranquil yet vibrant, with lush surroundings and easy access to the water.
Location & Atmosphere The resort’s layout is thoughtfully designed, with The Cove offering a more adult-centric experience — ideal for travelers seeking peace and privacy. Our room overlooked the mangroves and calm waters, creating a soothing backdrop for morning coffee or evening unwinding. The property itself is expansive yet intimate, with winding paths leading to pools, beaches, and activity hubs. Activities Galore Whether you're craving adrenaline or a laid-back float, Three Waters has it all. We kayaked through the clear waters, paddleboarded off the shore, and swam in multiple pools — each with its own vibe. For thrill-seekers, speed boat and jet ski rentals are available, and the resort even offers fishing charters for those wanting to explore Islamorada’s reputation as the Sport Fishing Capital of the World. Dining at Mercado Morada We had the pleasure of dining at Mercado Morada, the resort’s waterfront restaurant, and it was a standout experience. The breakfast menu was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. A few favorites: Papaya Yogurt Parfait – creamy Greek yogurt layered with ripe papaya, granola, and orange blossom honey. Avocado Toast – thick-cut multigrain bread topped with crushed avocado, heirloom tomato, cilantro, and queso fresco. Breakfast Burrito – carne asada, scrambled eggs, guacamole, potatoes, and smoked chili crema wrapped in a warm tortilla. Smoked Salmon Benedict – served on an everything bagel with dill-caper cream cheese and arugula.
The ambiance was relaxed yet upscale, with views of the Islamorada Sandbar and a vibe that felt like a lively Central American street market.
Amenities That Matter One of the highlights for me was the well-equipped workout room — a must-have when traveling. It’s always a bonus to stay active while enjoying a resort experience, and Three Waters didn’t disappoint. Final Thoughts Three Waters Resort is a masterclass in how to balance luxury with laid-back island charm. Whether you're here to explore the water, indulge in delicious cuisine, or simply soak up the sun, this resort offers something for every kind of traveler. We left feeling refreshed, inspired, and already...
