Nice spacious area for large events. It is conveniently located near the Kansas city airport as well as many area hotels. Restaurants and shopping are only a short distance away. Bathrooms are large and usually clean. After attending multiple events at this location over a period of years, the biggest issue is a shortage of parking and a lack of seating areas inside the expo center for resting. Many of the events are many hours long and there is usually no place to sit and rest, which makes it significantly less appealing to elderly, aging, and injured individuals. In my personal experience, multiple people have decided not to attend events at this location for this reason. Parking is always an issue. The lot for the center is fill as well as overflow parking. Many attendees park in the median of the street and the surrounding...
Read moreNeeds more parking areas. Not even close to enough parking especially if there is more than one event going on. Too many other buildings & Hotels around it are sharing it's parking areas. People having to park illegal in the grass, in nearby fields & on the street where it clearly states NO PARKING. If you attend any event here I suggest you get there 2 hours early to be able to get a space anywhere near the Expo Center itself. I love the inside & outside of the building & how it is set up. It is very vendor & exhibit set up friendly as long as you do not need to use power outlets or borrow tables. That gets expensive. It is very nicely decorated, well lit, very clean & has nice furnishings. There is always at least one attendant in the bathrooms keeping them nice & tidy. There is food & drink available for purchase in...

It did not detract from the expo which was held therein, there were no leaks I could detect (it was raining profusely), and the climate control was adequate. The floor was in good repair, the entryway aged from it '96(?) Glory, yet maintained and clean.
The only sour note wasn't even from the space but the attached hotel's restaurant, burger theory, which isn't open for lunch. I've certainly never heard a school of sandwich logic that includes theoretical provision for an exclusionary clause between burgers and lunch, but the world takes all...
