I was denied my room due to having an emotional support dog. After they said the card i had was fake. I then proceeded to show the federal certificate and doctors paperwork. They then called the police, which i waited for. Police said they can't trespass me and they offered statutes to the establishment. There is now an open incident report which will go along the Civil matter at hand. I also videoed the incident. After i caught them in a few lies....people need to be aware! I'm visiting from another state....and they held my $$$ and I have to wait for a refund. What if I didn't have extra funds for the next hotel. I would of been on the streets sleeping. After a long ride to Kansas city...I just wanted to rest and eat. Not be discriminated because of my very friendly fur friend. Unacceptable!!! After your comment below šš¾šš¾šš¾ As you stated below....not a pet friendly establishment. So right.... I asked to speak to a manager or hire up. Not available. Yet the clerk called and spoke to someone. I provided proper documents after it was called fake. Police officers looked at them. They are legit. An emotional support dog is very much a service animal. Better trained than any animal you'll ever come across. He is trained for my condition. Which the officers saw my emotional distress afterwards. Which to you isn't important enough. Mental health awareness should be as much as anyone else. I stayed cool and calm inside. But still had the police called. Which they meet me and my dog. And saw no reason for me to be arrested or even tresspassed. They gave the condolences for what was going on. No empathy....I feel sorry for your karma! God will handle this. Be aware. God doesn't like that. $$$ over paying ppl w proper paperwork. . I've traveled from so many states. You guys are the only one who sees it your way. I even checked in next door to your hotel. Which gave no problems. Which i had to deal w a death the next morning about a loved one. Ppl don't like this...the world will see this video.. And the proof that this dog in necessary in my life. Along with the paper work where it says by federal laws at the bottom of the certificate. ...

We paid more than we normally would have so we could have use of a hot tub after moving and cleaning and realize it costs more on a Saturday night for a King bed at the last minute in Kansas City. They do have a little Italian restaurant but you have to eat there in the lobby or order in the lobby and wait there for it to take to your room. There's no room service and you can't even order over the phone and come down and pick it up yourself when it's ready. The meal was okay if you have to have something to eat and don't want to get back out or order pizza, but a little pricey for the quality. One order was missing part of it as well. The hot tub is nice and big with room for plenty of people. It's warm enough and great that you aren't sweating so bad you can't stay in it, but when you turn the jets on, almost nothing happens at all. HUGE disappointment when that's why you paid so much to stay here! The room is big and very clean. It looks nice, has a cozy looking bed and shampoo, conditioner and lotion dispensers provided for you. Another disappointment when you crawl in bed and it feels more like your laying down on the box spring with a comfortable wrapped around it, instead of laying on a mattress. In the morning we hoped that at least the hot breakfast would be worth the expense we put out....WRONG! It was all disgusting. Dry eggs made from powder. Nasty potato hash brown things. The fruit was spoiled. The banana muffin was old and dried out. That's when I gave up and when to get our bags. At check out I was more than thrilled to find out that my $100 deposit would be processed after 2pm and would not return to my bank account for 5-10 business days. Yay me! At least I can afford to have that money missing for a few days. Orangewood Inn & Suites Kansas City Airport.... I was so hopeful. ...
Ā Ā Ā Read morePriced appropriately. Rooms were nice and clean just not super large, good for a simple over night stay. Staff at the desk are pleasant and helpful. Checkin was simple and quick. Smelled and looked clean in all aspects. Pool and hot tub in good working order and nice and clean. No real complaints that would prevent me from staying here again and happy to say we enjoyed our stay.
Some things I noticed that management/owners may need to improve upon and/or rethink ā¢Pool towels are pretty small and more childrenās sized than for adults. Bigger towels would have been nice most definitely ā¢The policy regarding not taking food from breakfast back to your room is very odd and off putting. Iām not sure the reasoning behind it but would definitely rethink that policy because it may tend to scare people away. Never have I ever stayed in a hotel where I couldnāt take food from breakfast to my room but that policy did scare me away from even eating breakfast here one day. ā¢Parking was a bit confusing upon checkin. Something clear on the bookings about parking and the fee for it would have been super appreciated. The website I booked through mentioned the $100 deposit, but made zero mention of parking fees per day. Would be awesome to have known that ahead of time is all. ā¢Had the do not disturb sign on the door and housekeeping still knocked on the door early in the morning to come clean
Overall not things that would make me avoid this hotel. But definitely could be improved upon to...
