This place is a whole lot of shady. I was warned about the hotel next door being a wreck and I had better expectations. The only thing positive I have to say about this establishment is that I only paid $40 in cash for 2 nights and I didn't even have to provide an i.d. or even go to the front desk because I was told by one of the house keeper's that I could borrow one of her rooms for cheap because she was in need of some cash anyways. Normally I would have just gotten my room as it is intended to be reserved but I figured why not get it cheaper and help someone else at the same time. But as could be expected, the room was a mess and there was literally 3 refrigerators in the room, the tub leaked water into the carpet and even the remote wasn't programmed for the tv. I wasn't given a room key until the second day and it didn't work not even once. I found the entire event of this stay to be absolutely hilarious. All was fun and games for my 2 day stay up until 11am. normally you would expect a house keeper to show up before checkout and ask if you are paying for another night and if not that checkout is at 11, which let's you have time to get your stuff together and get ready to leave. Well this morning checkout process went quite a bit differently.... At 11:14 I had a knock at my door and it was the house keeper/discount extraordinare that sold me the room, she had a cordless phone in her hand and one the outdated handset I was informed was the owner of the hotel and miss "rooms-for-less's" boss, of which very rudely threatened to call the police on me if I wasn't off the property in the next 15 minutes. I wasn't surprised by the attitude she had towards the person who had been staying in a room for free the last two days from her perspective. I was thrown off by the fact that the worlds worst employee was never punished for the wrong doing. I would have expected her to have gotten fired on the spot but instead the owner and the price dropping picker-upper were both standing outside watching me while I waited for my Lyft to arrive. Sorry for the long review but I like to inform others of the truths about places and this one was one that needed...
Read moreWorst experience with a hotel ever. And I stay in hotels for a living. I am a travelling insurance agent. I felt threatened and uncomfortable from the front desk agent, Mike. I called ahead of time to confirm my reservation and request a room on the 1st floor. Mike said that Wyndham had booked me for two rooms. I asked him to cancel the 2nd room as I had only booked one room. Mike said he needed to hang up and figure out how to do it because he had only been working there for 1 month. So I called him back 10 minutes later and he said he had to cancel both reservations because the system wouldn't cancel only one. I said I was a few miles away and I would come there to do the reservation over before I went to my first appointment. Upon arrival Mike said he would make me another reservation at a higher rate. I said no that I would like my 1st rate because of obvious reasons. He became very upset and said he could offer me a better rate, but that he didnt like me. He said he could care less if I stayed there or not. I asked to speak with the manager or owner. Mike said there is no manager and that the owner was in India if I wanted to take it up with him when he gets back. I shook his hand and said God bless, but no thank you I did not want to stay at this hotel. I have since filed a complaint with Wyndham Rewards and am awaiting a call back from someone that can help me. They said it may be a week before I get a call back and they gave me a reference number. I had to go stay at another choice hotels property 30 miles away with a higher rate because there was nothing Wyndham Rewards would do over the phone to help me get that rate at another hotel in the Kingsland Ga. I am very upset and hope that Wyndham will actually call me and rectify this situation. I will never return to this Super 8 in Kingsland, Ga even if it were free. I cannot believe that they let this employee work at this hotel the way he made me feel. Such an unprofessional person. He said he has been a teacher for twenty something years before that and hated it. Do not stay at this property people. God be with...
Read moreThis place is convenient when traveling and you need an over night somewhere but this place is deplorable. It is cheap! So you get what you pay for, it appears. DEFINITELY NOT THE WYNDHAM STANDARD!!! It is dirty, OLD, and needs updating. The furnitire is okay but the rooms have never been updated as per Wyndham standard. The night table top drawer had a Bible and a BUG! The bug was still there when I left, and I showed it to a staff person. You have to get down, literally, on the floor to operate the air conditioner. There are no phones in lthe rooms so you have to go back to the front office to do everything; even just to report something or ask a question. I went there to report the air Condictioner wasn't on and I could not get it to work. The man said someone would be right there. It was after midnight and no one ever came. I finally asked a man in the parking lot and he turned it on for me and he had to sit in the floor to do so. I am dealing with cracked ribs, plus other health issues and cannot get down on the floor for any reason. I have stayed here before but this time my room was worse than before. I just put up with it last time but this time I couldn't sleep the night because every time the a/c came on it woke me, very loud. I do not like to complain but this hotel could really be a winner if they would just fix up their rooms. The towels were very nice and soft. I liked that very much and I liked the price. There were no cups or glasses in the room. I had to go to my car and get a dirty soda cup to take my medicine. The floors were BLACK wiith dirt. I had to wipe up some water from the floor and since there were no paper towels in the room I had to use a face cloth and it was BLACK from wiping up some water from the floor. Just one thing after the other wrong. I hate having to say negative things. The guy who checked me in was very nice and polite. I wish I had taken photos. I just...
