OMG.. I boondocked at a Cracker Barrel.. my first time! FIRST OF ALL I'd like to address to 'those' people.. CB is a restaurant, they sell food and have a country store!! Show some respect in your reviews... you're staying for FREE! Other inconsiderate RVers, uneven parking lots, and anything else you can find not up to your par isn't their responsibility!! NOW, what a great time we had at this Cracker Barrel... when we arrived we went inside to browse around and cool off (warning men, keep a close eye on your wife, I made that mistake!) and while inside we met Michelle, the manager, what a sweet lady. I asked if it was okay to park over night and she said fine; she then preceeded to tell a little about the area for our own well being and safety.. we felt like family! After 'we' "bought" a wind chime š„“ we went into the restaurant and ordered a peach cobbler and butter pecan beignets - watchout, there is nothing warning you on the menu about if you mix the two togetherš (just saying!) We sat down during the changing of servers, they were right in step and we were waited on in just a couple of minutes! We then mosied on outside to chk out the rocking chairs - like the 3 Bears - but just the two of us! Until we found ones just right for the evening.. meeting.people arriving/going was right up our alley for we are 'people persons'! Even the teenagers who played cjeckers right next to us were a delight! The night stay.. if you are the first one you get the shady slip by the tree and the grass island is nice to enjoy an evening sit before bedtime. The sleep time was good, no noise, but at 5am the garbage trk does comes by, it's not loud by any means, so just roll over and sleep on!! Michelle did mention there were some homeless in the woods behind, we saw a couple but they had more important things to do than us, so again.. roll over and sleep on. The next morn.. brkft. What can we say that hasn't been said already.. go and eat, enjoy, tip your server well, and most of all THANK CRACKER BARREL FOR THE FREE NIGHT STAY!! Thank you Cracker Barrel not only for good food, good atmosphere, a relaxing front porch, a new wind chimeš, but for a great night sleep... FOR FREE!! Living Our...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDriving on 95 and were searching for dinner, came across this at one of the exits and decided to stop as we know Cracker Barrel to have good food. Upon entering and giving my name, I was told my wait would be 15 minutes, which was fine. My party (2 other people) and I ended up waiting around double that instead. And when I went up to the podium and asked all I was told was "I don't know" and that was it. After finally being called, walking through the dining room there were dirty tables everywhere (even more when we left). When it came to ordering one person in my party ordered the special cheesecake stuffed pancakes and the rest of us got chicken fried chicken. Upon asking for hash brown casserole, we were told they don't serve it after 11 am. I had to scramble to find other sides, and was a bit peeved but continued and the orders were placed. When food came out, after a long wait, the cheesecake stuffed pancakes barely had anything in them. With the server still there the meal was sent back and they ate their side while the rest of us started eating. My other party members chicken was dry and both of our meals were just barely warm, aside from the loaded sweet potato and eggs. Our waitress soon came out again to the party member with the returned meal to say that they might not have anymore of the cheesecake filling and asked for another option. Soon after we were told, by our waitress that she spoke to the manager and they would have to have the secondary choice. We never got to see the manager about this. Also why with little to no filling left would they allow my party member to order what she did? So they rush to make her meal and it comes out the same as ours barely warm and her chicken dry. Our waitress, Taliah, was amazing and handled the situation well considering her manager threw her under the bus. I just feel bad because if this is how they operate she probably gets short-changed on tips a lot. By far the worst Cracker Barrel my party and I've ever visited and we will not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis Cracker Barrel is the worst Iāve been too. The first couple times the only issue was we would wait abnormally long when dining in. We didnāt get really checked up on much but people get busy, itās okay. The issue occurred yesterday. I made the mistake of ordering a curb side order through the app. Estimates time was around 2:15. I arrive at 2:00 at a spot and hang out for a bit, figuring I was early and giving it some time. 2:15 rolls around, I havenāt been talked to by anyone so I run inside and say that Iām there to Tara, and she was very kind and said that she would bring it out when it was ready. 2:45 comes around. A patron knocks on my window and says that she got there after me and just got her food and she had to get a manager in order to get her food. I walked in and asked Tara for a manager. 3 calls and 15 minutes later, DJ the associate manager finally comes around and asks whatās wrong. I explain to him what happened and he runs to the back. Around 15 minutes later, he comes back with my food and said he provided me with a couple extra cornbread as compensation. I walk out to my car and check my food for accuracy to find out that all of my food was cold. I go back inside and ask Tara for the manager again. I nice young woman also up front went and actually got DJ to prevent another lengthy wait. He comes quickly and asks whatās wrong. He takes my food back and comes back about 15 minutes later with my food very hot. He said he gave me a sweet potato as compensation without asking me if that was alright. This may be me personally, but I donāt feel justly compensated not satisfied. To their credit, the food was delicious and the front house staff were super friendly and sympathetic. Wonāt be returning here...
