Checked in with a party of 4 for 4 nights. No one answers the phone when trying to call and confirm a room change ahead of time. They only put 2 towels, 2 washcloths, and 1 hand towel, in a double room for 4 nights/4 people. Difficult to check in, get new linens, or toilet paper. Long wait times. Breakfast is complimentary but is subpar. No fresh fruit or variety. The same breakfast items every day, bland dried-out egg rounds, biscuits and gravy, waffle, and cereal. The lady at the front was frazzled and complained about being short-staffed; it seemed like she was the only other person working the front other than the owner, that made rare appearances, and the same lady was there morning and night, so I'm sure she is just trying to stay afloat. The beds were fairly comfortable but linens had cigarette burns and stains. The ceiling had an old leak with crumbly sheetrock. The room itself was run down. The bathtub had a slow drain so by the time the 4th person showered they were standing in several inches of dirty water. This hotel seems like they are just trying to make money and give the smallest amount of updates, customer service, and breakfast offerings.

Got room #213 corner upstairs facing the truck park.Looked really good but we are smarter now.Pulled all the covers and before we even pulled sheets off, a couple of bed bugs were already having a siesta. We carry the bed bug spray now so we dusted the whole bed. The second thing was the smell which I could not stand. It was strong and overpowering. Went back to the FD and showed the young lady a video of one of the bugs and she said well let me move you to#216 its better. Went through the whole routine and did not find anything.Pulled the bed off the wall just in case. Cover has cigarette burns, sheets were dirty There is a huge bug problem in all these budget hotels now because they are now housing transients and being paid by the state for it. They really do not care .

ATTN: Choice Hotels, this needs your attention Just so we are clear here, one star=hated it. Terribly managed by front desk staff, no cleaning even between guests, as apparent by the shape of the room at check in. This place is in need of corporate help, Choice Hotels should step in today. Rude workers, if you think about going to get coffee from front, you will be a problem and they have too many already. Don't ask any questions either, not even one during your stay because they don't have time for it. If you communicate in any way, be clear they will take any opportunity to make things worse. Please avoid if at all possible. May just need to look across the road, you would save yourself more than you know.

The only thing I’ll give 5 stars is the location because my stay was horrible. I got a room using my choice account at which I’m a Diamond member. Staff was very rude from the start, and refused to honor the 2 hour late check out that you get with being a Diamond member. They also accused me of having more than just me and my girlfriend in my room, and then said they were going to have to charge a $100 deposit, and if they catch anyone else sleeping in the room they would not be giving my $100 back. I was over it, and just ready to go to my room. The room had a strong odor, and it felt like something was biting my ankles the minute I stepped in the room. Room was dusty, and had spiderwebs with actual spiders in the webs all over the room. One even covered the door, we had to move it before entering. We checked in very late about 3 am so we was ready for bed. Woke up with bite marks on my body just an hour after being asleep, can only assume it’s bed bugs. Staff banged on the door at 8 am, had me walk all the way to the office, and tried to get us to check out early. I’ve never been treated like this in my life. Especially when I had another reservation. Not only did they not let us keep the same room, they were trying to check us out early right then and make us wait until 3 to check back in to my room, and make me pay another $100 deposit. Needless to say, we got a refund. I will never stay here again in my life.. The owners don’t care about the rooms nor their customers. They seem to only care about money. Had the owners actually been nice and not so rude I would have left the review alone, but I’ve never in my life been treated so badly by hotel owners/staff before. Or woke up 3 hours before check out, and expected to check out early. I advise anyone reading this to...

Started with Front desk giving me a hard time to even check in. The rate he quoted me over the phone was far higher than the rate showing online for booking they claimed due to late check in. So you pay more to stay in the room a less amount of time. Okay. It’s 4am. I’ve driven all the way about 10 hours from The state of VA today. Left after my friends funeral service to go home to the state of Texas. I stopped through Kingston springs because this is where my friends fatal accident occurred. Got stuck in a mud hole for about 2 hours prior with both of my children by myself as a single parent on a budget. Of course I’m naturally frustrated with my own situation. Trying my best not to take it out on front desk clerk Sam. Sam not only told me the rate would be higher than online but I also needed to pay a $100 deposit because I was paying cash. Tried different hotels. No Vacany. Of course. So I come back to Quality inn speak with Sam again. Try to arrange a card payment through a family member he told me I could just leave because I was “ rude and difficult” since I came in. Again it’s about 3 am and I have both of my crying kids who are sleepy and I am also sleepy. I simply apologized for my “ rude behavior” and expressed I am grieving and also just had an issue being stuck in the mud on the side of the highway for about an hour and a half. Got the room. It seems okay. I will give them that there is no smell in the room that’s present like other rooms I’ve encountered. However the bathroom had hair in the shower and on the toilet. Also lots of mold at the top of the shower. Would I say the experience and room was worth the $105 and hour of my time just to getting checked...

I traveled from Ohio for a family emergency, and this was by far one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had.

When I arrived, the hotel didn’t have my paid reservation on file. I had to wait 30–45 minutes to get it sorted with my travel card (not the hotel’s fault, but still very inconvenient). When I was finally handed my room keys, they were sticky and smudged — IDEK what was on them, but it set the tone immediately.

Once I got into the room, it felt and looked filthy. The mirrors were smudged, the tub had visible filth stains, the walls and lamp shades had stains all over them, and the entire room smelled moldy. The bathroom sink and tub both had mold in the cracks. I ended up going to Walmart to buy 70% alcohol and cleaning supplies just to get through a one-night stay.

The pool looks like it hasn’t been opened in 100 years, with weeds and grass growing all over it — an absolute eyesore.

The breakfast was by far the worst I’ve ever had at a hotel. On top of that, I went to the Mexican spot across the street for a drink, and something was floating in my glass. I left immediately.

The best part of this stay was that I wasn’t eaten by bugs — but I’ll definitely be leaving my items outside my home when I get back, just to be safe.

I’ve stayed in similar hotels for quick trips before, but this one I would not recommend — not even in...
