I stopped in today, and I was met by Sleep Expert Jonathan, who was extremely professional and knowledgeable about how to approach my needs. Initially I started out by explaining my budget, but he proposed that we start from a standpoint of what my needs were. Back pain wasn’t figuring into my equation, and yet, that was the entire reason I was shopping out of necessity in the first place.

He started with basic questions, and this led him to demonstrate around a half-dozen very specific mattresses, each of which was extremely comfortable compared to my current setup. But the real value of his expertise became evident when he began to demonstrate the combination of adjustable bases simultaneously with these mattresses. After sitting in an adjusted position for a few minutes, I could literally feel the tension in my back melting away…and the massage feature was an added perk.

Okay, great…so I got a good sales experience, and that’s something everyone expects. But my budget was still a big priority, and now I was looking at a bit more than double what I had initially planned to spend. So I gave them a bit of runaround, and we were back to trying out mattresses again. Sleep Expert Jonathan had to step away briefly, and so then it was Sleep Expert Kayla (Store Manager) who patiently took me back and forth between the two final contenders while I tried them both repeatedly.

In the end, I got what felt the best for my back…because at 40, perhaps it’s time to treat my back like an investment rather than something to repeatedly patch up after I abuse it.

My husband and I had an exceptional experience with Steve and Dustin. First off, we bought a mattress and adjustable base at the state fair expo in August and The rep we dealt with there was completely awful. He wouldn’t answer our calls and never adjusted our delivery date to the date we were moving. Our two days of moving was stressful enough without worrying about if we’d have a bed to sleep on. Sick and tired of dealing with Matt and his inability to properly help us, I called the Sheboygan store and Steve was so helpful. We were unsure if we picked out the correct bed the day at the expo because they rushed us to get to the next customer. Steve helped us cancel our first order and told us to come in and find the perfect one for us. He started from the beginning to ensure we got the perfect bed for us. He and Dustin were so personable. I was not familiar with Mattress Firm and walked in not knowing what to expect. I only needed a twin mattress. The most surprising thing was the depth of information and knowledge that the staff members shared with me. I never felt I was being sold anything, I felt they were working to find the best thing possible to meet my needs and within my budget. They had a range of products and sale items that was surprisingly large. What was equally amazing is that the employees knew all the characteristics and features of each mattress (or where to find it quickly and correctly). It made it easy to compare. Ultimately, I spent $100 more than I anticipated but I was shown the benefits of having a mattress base that could elevate my head, if needed for watching television or after any health problem.
