Staying at this Embassy Suites was an interesting experience.
The day before my arrival, I was asked to pick a room and say what time it would be available. I have done this many times as a Hilton Honor member, therefore I was expecting this to be without any issues.
Upon arrival the next day, I was told that my room was not ready at 4pm. And they would call me later when the room was available. However, we got a call later saying that they are booked out and there are no king room availble. It would have been more believable if the hotel parking was not only ~25% full. On top of this experience, my in-laws room had no working air conditioning. As we are at the front desk wondering how this was possible.... they claim "oh..someone JUST cancelled and we now have a king room". This was a little odd to add to the list.
However, my in-laws with he broken a/c? Oh... they had no problems finding them another room with a king bed. Was the A/C working on this lovely 95+ degree weather? No.
We tried to talk to the supervisor and managers etc.. some cared, others did try to help, but, some did not care at all. they responded by offering us individual fans and refused to compensate us at another hotel with working a/c. So what happened? It sounds like the a/c has been broken for a week or two prior to this visit, but whoever in charge did not want to fix it. Also, this hotel is nowhere near booked to capacity, it was more like 30%. Their solution was to cool the a/c vents with water instead of paying a professional to fix it and/or to replace the one of the units.
After hearing this, my in-laws was able to get in contact with someone very high up in Embassy to give them an update on what is going on. Whether it is a coincidence or not, but the next morning, the a/c was fixed and working properly. Not sure if the giant semi truck parked in the back had anything to do with this event or not.
Overall, the rooms feel old, but they were clean. Floor was a little damp which may or may not be in relation to their temporarily solution to "fixing" the a/c for the past two weeks. There are a lot of nice and friendly employees especially the bartenders, but there several condescending and rude ones working here.
Would I be back in the future? It is very iffy based on...
Read moreWe stayed here on July 4th during a special family vacation, hoping for a relaxing and memorable experienceâbut instead, we encountered one of the worst hotel stays weâve ever had. We booked a Premium Suite with two queen beds at a premium price, expecting Hilton-level quality. What we got was filth, neglect, and discomfort.||Our room was unacceptable from the moment we walked in. Both beds were visibly stained with what looked like blood or bodily fluids. Sheets had not been changed. The mattresses were sagging, didnât fit the frames, and were extremely uncomfortable. The furniture was chipped, stained, and outdated. The thermostat was faultyâat times turning the room into a sauna, and at other times, an igloo. Mold was present in the bathroom. We even woke up with bite-sized welts on our legs, suggesting a pest infestation.||The Keurig-style pods were expired or stale, and the drinks were undrinkable. We threw everything out. The lightbulbs were out, the lampshades stained, the toilet paper was cheap one-ply, and the entire suite appeared to have been rushed through by overworked cleaning staff. The âcomplimentary breakfastâ was disappointingâlow-quality ingredients, bland options, and little care. This was not the Hilton experience we expected.||As a service-connected disabled U.S. Army Veteran, I was especially disappointed. This was our 4th of July family getawayâa time meant to celebrate freedom, family, and service. Instead, it turned into a frustrating, unsanitary, and exhausting ordeal. I requested to speak with a manager upon checkout, but none were available. I was told someone would follow up. No one ever did.||One positive: a housekeeping staff member promptly came and respectfully changed the bedding after our initial complaint. She was the only part of this experience that resembled genuine hospitality.||To my fellow service members, veterans, and military families: I strongly encourage you to avoid this location. There are better-run, cleaner, and more respectful hotels throughout the Omaha metro. This one has lost its standardsâand its honor.||We paid nearly $230 for a night in a so-called premium suite, but the only âpremiumâ part was the disappointment. Embassy Suites and the "Hilton" brand used to be names we could trust....
Read moreWe stayed here this past weekend for 2 nights. I had declined room cleaning services at check- in as to be more eco friendly. On the 1st night, when we arrived to our room around 11pm to go to bed, we discovered how nasty our beds were once the sheets where pulled back. Boogers on one bed, stains on the other bed sheets, black hair on the bed, and a capsule/pill and booger beside the bed. Clearly, we were sleeping in dirty sheets from the past guest. I went to the desk 1st thing in the morning requesting the sheets be changed and the pill removed. I showed him pictures and he took pictures of my pictures. The sheets were changed but the pill was still there when I checked out (I mentioned to the guy it was still there) the carpet in the halls along the walls is disgusting!!! The happy hour/cocktail hour was a joke. We came down at 630 and the food was all gone (only a few cubes of dry cheese and a bowl of dip was left...) I ask the gal serving drinks and she said she didn't have a chance to fill it she was to busy serving drinks...it never got refilled. We do not drink alcohol and the drink we ordered with sprite tasted terrible like the syrup was out. I asked the next night and he confirmed that was the problem the night before. He fixed the syrup. The next night the snack for cocktail hour was clearly the veggie tray made for the night before. As the cauliflower was so moldy, the carrots were gross with the dirt on them still and the celery was dried out. Same with the broccoli. Somebody standing there said they wouldn't serve it to their rabbit!! This could be a very beautiful hotel but it definitely needs some cleaning! It's not a cheap hotel...$422 + $21 for the 2 day parking ... I would at least expect a hot shower for that price but it was ice cold on day 2. The hotel was super busy so I wasn't surprised it was cold. I guess, I was surprised to have such terrible experience at Hilton hotel. We love the embassy in Minneapolis/St Paul. And to top it off, I was charged $20 more per night than I was quoted when I booked. They did change my room type but never once mentioned there would be a price difference. I did ask the front desk and brought up my booking email and she said to call the sales department on...
