Ultimately I have ended up being really disappointed with my purchases from this store. I went in and was measured for a bra, but I was given an obscure size. I wonder if this is a tactic to get people to buy specialty bras in hard to find sizes, making it more difficult to shop elsewhere. I tried on some bras that were brought to me in the dressing room, and felt quite pressured to make purchases by the over-enthusiastic sales clerk. I was told bras stretch by 1-2 inches so when trying them on, I wanted them to be snug. I ended up purchasing a wireless laser-cut bra that day, and special ordering an underwire bra. The sizing of the laser-cut bra was available in S, M, L, etc. so I didn't know my alleged bra size when I left. The bra I purchased that day has now stretched much more than 1-2" and doesn't feel as supportive as it did. I feel floppy in it. And I didn't abuse it. I wash bras separately, on delicate, in a lingerie bag, and lay them flat to dry.
The other bra I purchased took about 2 months to arrive, even though I paid for it that day. After several weeks of not receiving my bra, I called and said I was tired of waiting and asked for a refund. I was told no, but that I could have store credit. A policy to refuse a refund on an item that hasn't even been received by the store, let alone the customer, is absurd. They could have just cancelled that order from their supplier. That's poor customer service, in my opinion. I'd lost faith in this establishment by then, so wasn't interested in starting over with store credit, going back to try on more bras, and waiting who knows how long for my choice to arrive once again. So I took the only option, and continued to wait. The bra finally arrived, and I drove all the way back out there to pick it up. Come to find out this bra doesn't even have a size tag in it, so I still have no idea what my bra size is, obscure or not. There wasn't even a size on the price tag. I've never in my 28 years of wearing bras purchased a bra that didn't say what size it was. I honestly wondered if the size tag was cut out, to purposely keep me from knowing my size, and thus forcing me to come back... Oh, and in over a year this bra never stretched an inch. So it's still tight and uncomfortable around. And the cups don't even fit that well. So much for getting properly measured for the right size bra.
So I find myself with two bras from Truly U that I dislike wearing because one stretched too much, and the other never did, and out $150.
I won't be back based on this disappointing experience, and I would not recommend Truly...
Read moreI love this place. I love their bras and the way they fit, and how they feel. As a large breasted woman, I’ve chosen to never purchase bras anywhere but here since the very first time I set foot in their store 4 years ago. The staff is always extremely professional, pleasant and they go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and sexy. The quality of their merchandise is top tier and lasts forever without loosing its original shape/support. Not to mention, they are making it their mission to educate women about different bra styles, their purpose, how sizing works and what proper sizing and fit should look like. It’s hard to believe I spent 30 years of my life, miserable in the wrong bra size and completely oblivious to how they should fit and feel, and how to properly put one on!
Now to sum up today’s visit. Before the door even shut behind me, I was greeted with a huge smile, and nothing but pleasant and positive vibes by Mikayla! I am a long time returning customer to Truly U and was stopping in to pick up a special order and shop for something sexy for the holidays. Mikayla was a new face and eager to help in any way she could, so I effortlessly fell into the groove with her as she walked back to show me into a dressing room and start the fitting process. We chatted a bit about what I was looking for and she came back with a surplus of different options. Typically this process of picking through options is sort of a pain because my tastes are not quite the same as typical women, and due to an injury I have two different cup sizes almost two cups apart. We continued to try on many different styles, brands and colors, sizing up and down in band and cup size. I am thick girl, and confidence is definitely something I need to work on, so when Mikayla continued to build up my body confidence by complementing me every step of the way, it made the entire process so much more pleasant and enjoyable.
After trying on upwards of 10 bras, I ended up getting the ONE out of the stack she felt the need to point out on the very FIRST round and adding two others to my wish list. I ended up walking out KNOWING I chose the right bra, and feeling sexy. Which is precisely what I was going for with today’s purchase!
It was a pleasure fitting with you...
Read moreUpdate 2/24/25: I am feeling better about this purchase!! As I was told, the bra (over time) would begin to mold/fit better once it's word, it has. Yet, still has that stability/support. Very impressed by the staff here as well, as they checked in on me, and they were willing to refit me as well, if needed. Wonderful place!!
2 Weeks Ago: Being a plus sized woman (2xl-3xl) and I've struggled for years to find the support, longevity, and comfort I've wanted. Outside VS, I've never been fitted professionally so this was a first experience, but truth is, I was/am desperate to find something that works and fits. I've tried countless bras in online/local stores, Victoria Secret, and Torrid, still nothing that lasted or supported well. Before making the appointment here, I was a little concerned about the price and pressure to buy. However, the representative who helped me was very inviting, comforting, knowledgeable, and poor thing, was in a rush. She was the only one working yesterday (due to mere circumstance), but she was still very attentive to everyone. Immediately, I was impressed by the fit of most of the bras, the quality, and the style(s). I'm more into neutrals myself, but they had plenty of options to try on in my size which isn't easy to find. She informed me all new bras fit snug at first, but they're supposed to loosen up. The only reason there isn't 5 stars is because I'd like to see how long two bras last for just under $200 (included a tip). Plus, the bra feels pretty snug and currently, the wire is pressing into my armpit more than I'd care for. I was told it'd change once the bra loosens up. Hoping it'll be a little more comfortable in the near future. Nonetheless, it was easy to see I do have the support and the strong-looking quality I was hoping for. Hoping to...
