Beyond Golf - Bar + Kitchen — Restaurant in La Vista

Can I do zero stars? I will give 1 because when we finally did get our food, it was awesome! We arrived at 5:15 to take advantage of happy hour until 6. We weren't even approached until I walked over and asked for a happy hour menu at 5:30. Still weren't approached for ten more minutes. At this time there were only 8-10 others in the bar. We had to ask for water several times and had to ask the other server who finally arrived. We finally got our second drink after happy hour. It was apparent that they were understaffed...it IS monday night football! The did have a2 large parties arrive but that was not until 6:30. Have staff on hand then let them go if it slows down. I have worked in the restaurant industry. We had no apologies or explanation. I had to ask the server if they contacted the manager to come in, and her reply was "yes, and they said we are on our own". We asked for the bill several times and when it finally arrived, we were over charged. At that point we had to get home to our kids so we couldn't even straighten that out. My friend who was with me talked to Nicole today, and all she said was the manager who didn't show up last night. She offered a free appetizer and totally blew my friend off. Sadly, I rarely write bad reviews, mainly positive ones. I did have undercooked wings on time for lunch for take out a few months ago. I did call and new ones were made, but I had to leave work again to get them. However, I did not complain about that because that guy made it right and was sincerely apologetic. I also wrote a note on the receipt for the manager to call me today....

We came here for lunch in December. Service was SO SLOW! The bartender was also the waitress. She did her rounds to each table all at once and then nothing. Not attentive, and screwed up our food order. We tried out their golf simulator today, same bartender/waitress and she rushed us and the people next to us instead of explaining what the options were to their game. Service again was the same, visiting all tables at once and then nothing, screwed up our food order again and found out it was the way she miss-entered it into their computer. I had to go up to the bar to ask for a menu and every time to get my drink refilled. While the food was good, it was also overpriced for what came out. On top of all of this the staff just wasn't very pleasant. We WON'T be back again. So glad there is another bar nearby that has the golf...

First off the guy that left the last comment didn't have the balls the leave his name. I have been in town for a while and have found that this bar is awsome. The people are awsome the bartenders and the owner are great people who work to give you the best experience possible. Second, the food is AMAZING. They have smoked wings every Tuesday night that are fantastic. You can get buffallo wings anywhere these are smoked and are great. They also have specials every night of the week that makes going in there a true experience. The golf simulators are awsome and provide a great resource to those golfers that can get out during the winter months. Overall this place is great 5 stars all...
