I only stay at Hilton hotels. They are generraly so clean and nice. However, this one is horrible. I stayed several nights along with several other people I know. Everybody had complaints and many had to move rooms 2 or 3 times in 5 days. They do not keep this place clean. It is falling apart. The employees stand around on their phones instead of working. Let me give the details more in depth. My room had a very loud AC unit that never shut off. I had to sleep with earplugs and a pillow over my head. There was some brown sticky substance smeared on my desk. There was a stream of maybe dried hand lotion running down in my sink from the sink top to the drain. The counter around the sink was covered in dried hairspray. It hadn't been wiped down in eons. There was plastic garbage on my floor as well. So gross. I had to clean my own room upon arrival. The hallways were sprinkled with litter so I'm sure no one is vacuuming on a regular basis. There are hand prints and drips on the walls in common places people touch. They are not keeping any common areas clean. While I was sitting in the lobby waiting on my friend to get a bite to eat, a ceiling panel one panel away from me literally dropped. When I left 2 days later it was still sitting there. Debris fell out to the floor as well. I was one of the first to come down in the morning for breakfast daily. The food in the pans that they were serving eggs, meat and potatoes looked like they were re-using what didn't get used from the prior day. It was dried out, over cooked and clumped together already at 6 am. It was disgusting. When I sat at the table in the dining area I noticed a large piece of fuzz on the other side of the table. The next 2 days the fuzz was still there as well as the same rings from sticky glasses. The same piece of dried lettuce was on the floor in the same place for several days. Also, the employee that was there to provide a service was only there to stand behind the bar area to collect signatures, tips and play with their phone. Each employee on every day expected you to bring them your plate. They didn't lift a finger! THINK TWICE ABOUT STAYING HERE. THEY DON'T DESERVE ANY STARS. THIS PLACE IS...
Read moreMy recent week long stay was disappointing. When I first got to my room I noticed that the carpet in front of the air conditioner was wet, and the room felt damp and smelled of wet carpet. I reported this and was promised it would be taken care of. There were also no batteries in my tv remote (no big deal, and maintenance brought me a new remote). It was late so I went to bed and then was gone the entire next day.
On the second night the carpet was soaking wet and the room felt damp and smelled of wet carpet again. I reported it again and maintenance came and determined that the air conditioner was not draining. They put towels on the floor and said they would repair it the next day and also put blowers in the room to dry it out while I was away.
When I got back the third day the carpet was wet and the room felt damp and smelled of wet carpet. I reported it again, and again maintenance came, put down towels on the floor, and promised to repair it the next day.
When I got back the fourth and last day of my stay the carpet was dry and the room was more comfortable, but the tv died. Maintenance was kind enough to bring me a new tv, but it was late and I was in my pajamas, which isn't the most comfortable situation for a female traveling alone. Of course by then, I should've been accustomed to nightly visits from maintenance.
The worst of this to me, though, is that nobody - especially the manager - once acknowledged the situation, apologized, or even asked me if there was anything they could do to improve my experience. I even emailed the manager about my concerns and as of now - a week later - I have not gotten a response. I guess to them It's perfectly normal to stay three nights in a row in a room with soaking wet carpet and towels all over the floor. This is far from what I expect at this price point.
I will be traveling to Lake Mary for work nearby for the next several months and will be staying for a week at a time, but not at Hilton Garden Inn. I'm certain the Hyatt across the street will be glad to have...
Read more☹️😠☹️Disappointed in management at this facility! I stayed here the night of November 16, 2017. At @ 5:00 a.m. the next morning I awoke to the smell of electrical wires burning. I had awakened several times throughout the night to a rattling sound that I thought was the fan on the AC unit. When I smelled the burning smell, I immediately called the front desk and asked for maintenance to come, because the smell was coming from the refrigerator, and the smell of hot wires was overwhelming. I was informed that maintenance would not be in until 7 a.m., and asked if I could unplug it. I said I guess. Luckily, my husband was there and could move the refrigerator out from under the cabinet to unplug it, and move it out to the hall so the air would clear in the room. A little before 9 a.m., no one had come to the room or moved the refrigerator. I went to the front desk to convey my disappointment, and was told that the manager would be there at nine. I feel like a full refund was in order for the major inconvenience. Maintenance came after I went to the desk. He looked at the refrigerator, and said he couldn't smell anything. I said because it has been sitting out here since 5 a.m., and has had time to cool. We left the hotel at 10 and the manager still hadn't arrived. He finally called at about noon, and said nothing was wrong with the refrigerator, and was sorry for my disappointment. Rotten tomatoes to the way this situation was handled, and I hope the outlet goes dead when this appliance does this again as it sounded like they were going to put it back into service.☹️I had stayed here the previous Friday night, and enjoyed the room, restaurant, and bar. Therefore, I returned-DOUBT...
