I've always loved hobby lobby because they have such a large assortment of supplies for almost every type of craft out there. I say almost because I came here looking specifically for BJD dolls and accessories for them. What transpired over the course of my about 30 minutes being in the store is just downright frustrating but a little hilarious at the same time.
As I meandered up and down all the aisles especially the toys searching for my beloved BJD dolls I started bumping into people. And by people I mean the same two people. Both of which are employees of the store.
Now I am a little anxious when I go to public spaces and can sometimes become paranoid, so I checked myself for paranoia but still the same two employees found me four aisles over.
Now we're in an aisle dance where I disappear and reappear two rows over and you see one girl pass by, nod her head in my direction, and is quickly followed by the other employee.
I could understand being over supervised if I was caught throwing things in my backpack or in my pockets, but none of these things happened and in fact my backpack is on the bottom railing of my shopping cart.
I'm writing this review while I'm still in the store because I am that upset about this.
All these ladies had to do was ask me what I was looking for instead of hovering and finding me in every single aisle that I went down searching for my dolls.
I decided to turn the tables around a little bit so they knew that I was aware of them by standing in the row where I would be the first thing they saw when they came out of their employee doors. This prompted a price check for a lady who had been holding a shirt in her hands for quite a while while this all transpired.
So if anybody knows what the hobby lobby code for 924 is please drop that in...
Read moreI went 3x's to this store last week and twice had to leave without purchasing the things I needed because my 2 year old daughter was throwing a fit and I left on my own knowing that she was not going to settle down well the 3rd time I went I was prepared and brought her leap pad. Well we get in the store and immediately she is throwing a fit because she can't get to the right game on her LeapPad well I sat there and helped her get it to the right one but before that a lady and her family stopped by my cart and stared until I said hey this is my third time here I just need to get a few things and then we'll be gone I'm sorry about my daughter throwing a fit well this lady had the audacity to tell me to leave my daughter at home with someone and then went on about her business. Every time that I've been to this Hobby Lobby I've gotten stare down by every employee except the one cashier that rang me up she was super sweet and I wish I knew her name so I could put it on here. It sucks because they're the closest Hobby Lobby to me and it's so easily available and accessible to me that I don't want to travel out of my way to go to another Hobby Lobby so I continue to shop here even though I would...
Read moreHorrible service, I came in the store and asked the assistant store manager who was at entrance if she could help me find the scrap books . She just kept saying they are in the back to the left after I couldn’t find them I came back and asked her for assistance again she said I don’t know what to tell you but that they are in the back. I asked if someone could help me she said 2 people are helping customers in fabric so it will be a while ( I just assumed she couldn’t help because she never offered) I go to the back and go figure a gentleman showed right up to assist. Needless to say I found what I was looking for and was able to check out. If anyone has been to Hobby Lobby it’s a bit overwhelming as there are tons of items.
My advice to Assistant Store Manager named Zoe you should probably find a job that you enjoy. Not only did you not display customer service you were not welcoming and inviting in fact you frowned the whole time. I also saw the way you spoke to your staff when I was checking out and it wasn’t nice at all. You might be having a bad day, we all have them, but you still have to be mindful of how you treat people when you work with the public.
Do better...
