I want to start by saying I have had a lot of great experiences at this restaurant and this review is by no means indicative of the overall norm. Just got my order (pictured below) and realized there was an issue. I tried to call to avoid making this public, but their phone option does not let you talk to a person and because I've seen enough issues to mention and feel that I may deserve a partial refund, i felt it necessary to leave a review. That said, the majority of the time, the food is perfect, if we order in store (this is key). Something Ive noticed with online orders, is that if you pick the free pita option, it is never added. Not trying to exaggerate because weve tried it 3 times and it was not included all 3 times. This time, however, I ordered the "paid for" pita and it did come so maybe that is the trick, but the item is a bit misleading if this was the solution. This time, they also half filled all of our dressings for some reason. We get them on the side to get enough for the entire meal and half filled is not enough at all. Lastly, but most importantly, I just ordered a bowl and the kalamata olives are arguably one of the best parts and I checked my order before I left, but I didnt think to check for the olives inSIDE the bowl because everything else looked good, even the highly coveted pita bread. But I drove 20 minutes home and about cried when i realized the olives werent in there because I cant even imagine the look on their face when i say, you forgot my olives after driving another 20 minutes back. Dramatic, i know, but Cava's food is absolutely amazing when made to order correctly. The portions are great (if you order in store, not so much online or at the winter park location entirely). We asked for plasticware and that wasnt inclided. My girlfriend was missing 4 of her toppings a different time and the toppings are downright delicious, so we really enjoy the orders where our food just isnt "diluted" and missing that amazing and FULL Cava flavor. I will absolutely keep coming back, but am somewhat forced to go over my order with an even finer tooth comb before leaving, now. I hope management helps staff better catch these fairly often missing items and really, as a team, aims to hit all of the marks that made me, and im sure countless others fall in love with this restaurant to begin with. I always try to thank the staff as well because this food.... it just does something to me. Thank you, Cava, I forgive you, but please give me the things I...
Read moreRecently my wife and I went to enjoy a meal at one of our favorite restaurants. We were both super excited to enjoy a nice meal as we usually enjoy the great atmosphere of the restaurant as well as good variety of food. We were greeted at the door by a nice young girl who was working at the register however once we started to place our order it went downhill from there. The base area where you order your rice was extremely empty and we had to wait about 5 minutes just to get some rice and then once we made it to the meat section of the bowl making process we were treated extremely poorly by a women who we think is a manager. I believe her name was Jaime. She seemed very rushed and was sloppily throwing toppings into our bowl. When she barely put a scoop of feta cheese in my bowl I kindly asked for more which she rolled her eyes and walked to a mini fridge. She then proceeded to slam the different containers on the counter as she changed the cheeses out. Then after our food looked super sloppy the girl at the register was trying to see what type of meat was in our bowls but I guess couldn’t see, so she asked the manager who did our toppings what was in it, in which the manager rolled her eyes and ignored her, The cashier then proceeded to wait for an answer as the manager seemed to be completely disregarding her. I then had to speak up and say that I ordered Lamb Meatballs which the cashier thanked me. She proceeded to be super kind to us and even talked us up to ordering an order of pita chips (which she had made fresh for us) and which were really good! We sat down and started to enjoy our meal when we overheard the manager telling the cashier to wipe tables down (however we can hear in her tone of voice that she was being really rude) The cashier then started wiping tables down with a look of defeat on her face. My wife and I just felt so bad for her that when she got closer to us with her bucket we asked if she was ok which she answered she was with a smile. All in all as good as the food may be, the service from this manager and the way she talks to her workers is truly unacceptable and makes guests feel...
Read moreI am a regular customer here and usually NEVER have a problem. It has gone so downhill in the last 2 months. Started out with missing items here and there like sides and sauces. We wrote off the past few bad experiences thinking it was just an off night. They were small items no big deal, even though it put me out a few dollars here and there, we still really loved the restaurant. Tried again last night 12/15/2023 and I absolutely will NOT be back. The rude, condescending older women at the front last night is the main reason I will not return. My boyfriend went inside to grab our pick up order and made me check the bag in the car before we left to make sure nothing was missing, since it had become common for missing items. We were missing the free pitas that come with the entrees if you request them. When my boyfriend told them at the counter the lady basically yelled "THE COMPLIMENTARY ONES?" which embarrassed him but he said yes and she ROLLED HER EYES at him before she gave them to him. I'm sorry, free or not, if I order it and it's supposed to be included and I'm paying $42 for two people to eat, I expect to get what I ordered without an obnoxious attitude. Everyone else working there was friendly besides this one women. I read other reviews and it's seems like other people also have been having the same problems with staff being unfriendly and missing items. The food was also TERRIBLE which has NEVER been an issue at all. I was ice cold clumpy rice. My boyfriends salad had giant chunks of the bottom of the veggies (they're always usually shredded) and his meatballs (that we paid extra for) were missing. My bowl where my only protein was meatballs only had 2 meatballs (it is usually at LEAST 4, as you also pay more for this protein) in the whole bowl which was half full! This is very unfortunate because we loved Zoe's and then when you guys first reopened as cava and now we honestly will not be back. I requested a refund on the companies page but have yet...
