This is truly a great hotel with some nice amenities, two of the reasons we return, but our 2 last stays have not been the best.
Fist, Travelocity had the hotel for $120 a night, but the website was not working. I called the hotel directly and they refused to honor the price. First time this has ever happened that the hotel refuses to honor the web site advertising.
Second, we stayed at the hotel and there was a bad storm that broke a tree that cut the power to the hotel in the hot 2024 heat wave. The hotel had no power for over 6 hours. Our teen son decided not to attend the event we were in town for and went down to the pool. He was locked out of the room because there was still no power and hotel staff would not let him back in the room because he didn’t have an ID on him to identify himself. Because of the event we were attending we could not hear the phone when the hotel called to ensure he was in our group, so he was locked out for over 1 hour. When I asked for a partial reimbursement for the inconvenience, I was told no because it was considered a natural disaster.
Lastly, during this weekend stay, I was quoted $206 for my room with taxes and was going to be charged $20 dollars for additional guest. When I called to make the phone reservation, I was not asked about my number of guest and I had to call two more times because I was never sent the email confirmation. Yvonne with guest services looked flustered during check-in. The two guest before me had their credit cards declined, but it was obvious it was something she was doing wrong because when she asked Dawn the manager for help she was able to fix it. Once it was my turn she started with a bad attitude, slammed my credit card on the counter. I asked she honor the price I was quoted and she told me, “I don’t know who quoted you that price”. I handed her and Dawn my phone so they could see that the reservation was directly from the hotel and they both refused to take my phone. When I called Yvonne out regarding her bad attitude her immediate response was “I don’t have an attitude”. This just 😡 made our stay unsatisfactory from the start.
Warning, this side of town does have a very large homeless population that stay around the hotels.
The hotel also has a $50 dollar over all night fee for accidentals that is reimbursed once the room is checked and the hotel fee cleared by your bank (3/5 business days). And a $50 dollar pet fee.
Hotel reservation was under my husband’s name, just in case your don’t find a reservation...
Read moreMy husband has stayed in drury inns in the past and loved them so I didn’t hesitate to book a stay here. The staff were friendly and efficient. My car was safe overnight even though I had some doubts about the location when I first arrived. The room was a large accommodating size and probably one of the bigger ones I’ve been in as far as suite style lodging goes. I liked the layout of the room with the bedroom far away from the hallway so that you don’t hear all the hallway noise however that put my room right overlooking the highway and I had to hear semi trucks all night. I had requested a room with a balcony view and that’s what I got. A balcony overlooking the highway traffic...lol... not that there were many choices of views in that location but they probably don’t need to advertise balcony views at all. Maybe I just couldn’t look past the highway to see anything else. I mentioned the safety factor earlier. What made me worried was all the posted signs about inmates and then inside the hotel were all these caution signs to not destroy the hotel and not hang things from the sprinklers and hide your valuables and etc. so many little placards on the walls that I actually ended up googling the area to see if I was in danger. I was only there for one night but I was perfectly fine. I did ride up the elevator with a guest carrying a 24 pack of beer. So someone was having a good time. The hotel provided a minimal but filling breakfast with all the standard offerings. It wasn’t as appealing as some places but it was decent. Everything was clean in this hotel and the bed was huge and cozy. I slept very well that night. Overall I don’t think I’d return to this location specifically but I’m not turned off from...
Read moreWe were very pleased to find a good hotel in Las Cruces. We usually are very pleased. Check in was frustrating. We always pick a room with a terrace ( we call it a balcony, whatever). Even put in the notes. After selecting the higher rate room we were given a standard room. So finally we get what we reserved. By the way your website says it's two rooms divided by a door. Um there wasn't a door between the rooms. But it is, after all, just a door. What surprised us was room 311. Now we usually stay in a different one but at least it's closer. The balcony were open. The room, covered in dust. Not because it wasn't clean, because the room was very clean, but because it's new Mexico (the land of dust). There was no in room coffee maker (was also in the website). Trash cans didn't have liners (so we didn't put anything messy in them). The phone didn't work when we tried to call the front desk to report the door. We found it on line and called that way. Look, the dinner was amazing! The bar tender so warm and inviting. The check out went smoothly and she was very nice. Even though I had to bring a pillowcase we ended up staining (long story). The breakfast was amazing and delicious. I love everything about this hotel. But it's difficult to get the room you want. It's suggested here, call the hotel directly. That way you won't have to wonder 🤔🤔🤔 will I get a Room coffee maker? Will the balcony be lockable or even there at all. Oh, I almost forgot, this is a very quiet hotel even we...
