Not sure how to begin rating this terrible hotel. I'm usually the first to find something or someone good to leave a positive review. However, from the inept front desk guy to the nasty front desk woman the next morning, all I can say is DON'T STAY here. No luggage carts, and when I asked where they were, the guy at the desk snickered and said, "People keep them in their rooms." I had tons of stuff to unload on my cross country drive and after spending the day stuck on the side of the highway, I found myself having to carry it all piece by piece to my room. Unfortunately, every time I left the room or needed to use the key card to get into the outside door closest to my room, the key card locked me out. THIRTEEN visits to the desk to re-key my card in the first hour alone. No apology for the inconvenience. No offer to help an older woman or to locate a luggage cart. The young man at the front desk should NEVER be people-facing. EVER! When I called him out on his lack of service which I tried to do succinctly and without fanfare, I found the next morning that instead of helping me, he had time to write a bunch of lies to make him look good in his notebook for the morning staff. When I told the front desk woman the next morning about my experience with the guy the night before she ACTUALLY STARTED EXPLAINING away his behavior in order to justify it. I walked away! I'm not even sure this place washes their sheets. Their washer and dryer ate my quarters and when I told the front desk, the guy just stared at me like I was speaking a foreign language. I checked out and moved to Comfort Inn by the university. For a few bucks more, I had an incredible room that was so clean, comfortable, and had great staff. Oh yeah, and the bed and pillows at this nasty La Quinta gave me me a back and neck ache. My experience was so horrible that I'm burned on the entire La...
Read moreOn Christmas Eve, we checked and found out that the toilet didnt work. There was no plunger or maintenance on staff so they offered for us to move rooms which I chose not to because the elevator was broke and it was late and I was traveling alone with my little girl so I felt for safety reasons, we should stay on the bottom floor. The sink splattered up like a geyser, the tub had paint splatters and water residue and a ring around it so I had to give my daughter a sponge bath instead. I had to play ‘the floor is lava’ because the carpet made my daughter’s feet black, so I laid towels down on the floor to be cleaner. The bed had dust all over it and there were oil like stains on all upholstered chairs and carpet. The canned light had a light bulb and no lid over it, it literally looked like it was under construction. Now Im being told that because I didnt tell the manager, Lee, the day we checked out she will only refund me $20. There was nobody behind the desk and we had to get breakfast in the dark because the guy hadnt turned lights on even after breakfast started… so I was a little discombobulated on Christmas Day. This room was the cheapest room Ive ever paid for, so at this point that taught me a lesson that cheap is probably a sign, but secondly off principle- I feel at least a call to discuss or something would be better than saying Lee will only give me $20 because I didnt tell her the day of. She wont even talk to me on the phone. Please dont take your children here. Spend the extra money and go across the street to the Hampton. Managers or owners who dont at least try to make things right, are clear indicators as to why they would even let a room get this bad and be sold...
Read moreBeware when you stay here. It was my little adventure. My sister came to inspect her room prior to to our booking. The room that she was showed was nothing like the one we got. First of all you either get too full beds or one king they do not have Queen. Our television never worked properly even though we exchange remotes three times we gave up. You could not control the volume every few minutes the TV was switched to YouTube we could not watch one single program. We had mold in our bathroom. Are vanity sink would not drain. We use the blow dryer one time and it wouldn't use wouldn't start again. Keep in mind you get what you pay for I guess and lastly my grandson was walking on the wet deck by the pool when he fell through a hole in the side and the side. Yes it had a cover but it was not secure and he fell completely in when I advised them they didn't even ask how he was they just said they get somebody messed with it. It should have been secured. Next if you cannot abide by homeless people don't stay here they're everywhere I have nothing against them but they're everywhere here beware we will not stay here again. And if you are expecting eggs and bacon or anything along those lines you won't get it here. Coffee waffles bagels muffins juice cereal. That is your selection. Ice machine was broken 100° outside. Refrigerator froze everything. We were either hot or cold with the AC. Our trash was never picked up from our room. Are rumours never cleaned we were there 4 days. And when the pool is supposed to close at 10:00 at 11:30 I have to ask the intoxicated people at the pool to please leave so we could...
