AT&T Store — Local services in Las Cruces

I got the worst service ever at this location. An employee named George Garcia (not sure he gave me his real name) claimed he was the manager, then when he didn't know the stores return policy, he claimed he was not the manager. He told me that the employees are not trained to learn the return policies at AT&T they just wing it as they go. He refused to tell me who the manager of the store was, would not give me a business card, stated that they do not have business cards. He refused to honor the return policy that AT&T has in place because it was almost closing time. Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever had at any store. I went to purchase a basic phone and basic plan for my brother who lives in an assisted living facility. I went to the Walmart on Valley Drive, Las Cruces, NM. The person who sold me the phone and plan (Philip) guaranteed me that if I returned it within 14 days I would not be charged anything. I returned it within 7 days because my brother ended up in the hospital. Much to my dismay I was charged $105.00. They said this was for activation. I contacted the manager at the Walmart ATT and also went to two ATT stores in Las Cruces, NM. No one was willing to stick to the return policy that they originally promised. We are full time RV’ers and was in this city for couple of days. Saw reviews for this store and decided to get new phones while here. Met at door , excellent service!!! Attentive, not pushy, explained everything upfront. Took their time with us to make sure we did not have any questions or concerns. We have been ATT customers for over 25 years and this was the best store we have been to. Went early evening.. Manager was there , orienting a new employee.
