Lucy’s Café isn’t just a meal it’s a time machine with Wi-Fi. Step inside and you’ll feel like you’ve wandered into New Mexico’s country past, where the retro booths still squeak, the coffee is strong enough to fix your attitude, and the jukebox unapologetically loves country music. From the classic breakfast dishes your grandma swore by (and probably burned once or twice) to a modern twist that says, “Yes, we still know what avocado toast is,” you’ll find comfort with a side of charm. Come for the nostalgia, stay for the bacon because nothing says “modern country” like Instagramming your pancakes under a neon sign

Great food, great service, great location, great prices! Perfect spot to fuel up before heading out. Since I was traveling through NM of course I had to get the red chile enchiladas with a perfectly cooked over medium egg laid on top. The red chile was authentic New Mexican and just the right amount of spice… deeeeeelish. Everyone else loved their food as well. Def will return next time we drive through Las Cruces.

The food was okay, but I wouldn't make a return trip. They had a large crowd, so they were not able to keep up. I stayed without coffee many times. The salsa was really good, but as far as the rancheros, I've had better.

We came here after a bike ride looking for a nice little Mexican restaurant and we found this place.

The service was incredible. Everyone was super attentive and very friendly. From the person who greeted us at the entrance to our waitress, everyone was friendly. Service is definitely 5/5

The restaurant also gave some good vibes and was very clean. It gives off a retro diner look. My only gripe with the place is that the restrooms are in a desperate need of remodeling. I can't describe it any better than saying they remind me of a gas station restroom with the mirror etched with graffiti, the stall door falling and rusty, the one dim yellow light and the faucet missing all the nozzles. Despite all this, the bathroom itself was at least clean and wouldn't be a deterrent for me. 4/5 atmosphere

And the food was very average. I ordered the country fried steak and it came with frozen vegetables and dinner rolls from Walmart. It kind of reminded me of cafeteria food except I've never paid $12 for cafeteria food. I also ordered the menudo and that was actually very, very good. But I still feel that $12 for a bowl is overpriced. Especially if you have to pay an extra $2 to have your bread toasted. Most places don't charge $10 in El Paso for bigger bowls and better flavor. The food was okay, but I feel overpriced for the average flavor....

Let me start with our waitress was an absolute sweetheart. Not familiar with the town, and traveling with our young family for a wedding, we decided to eat here. We sat and my wife was going to wash my son’s bottle. She offered to wash his bottle.

Really nice looking place, it smelt good walking in. service is weird. sit yourself down anywhere and hope a waitress notices and gives you the menus. waited 30 minutes for a 1/2 order not even a full order of the chicken fried steak. the saddest & smallest scoop of mashed potatoes, and the piece of chicken i got was plain/bland and thinner than my own phone. mashed potatoes tastes like it was the pre made powder from the box. and a scoop of canned vegetables as the other side. Such a let down considering it has that old diner layout and vibe but the food, nope. gravy was decent but covered my whole plate. and the bread roll i could pinch together with 2 fingers and eat it thats how small it was. if you are an older person who likes little to no sound and bland food this is...
