I came in recently to buy uniforms and EMT shoes for my son, and while the staff initially seemed eager to help, the experience quickly became uncomfortable and frustrating. The owner micromanages everything — employees and even customers — and paces around the store in a way that made us feel watched and unwelcome. It wasn’t just about attentiveness; it felt erratic and unsettling. I don’t know if he was under the influence or just overly paranoid, but the behavior was not normal or professional.

Multiple reviewers have already mentioned how rude and intense the owner is, and I have to agree. The quality of the items sold here is poor — most are cheap, low-quality imports that wouldn't meet the minimum safety standards required for EMT students. For example, the boots offered were priced at $80 but looked and felt like they’d fall apart under any real use. You could go to Shoeteria down the street on Artesia & Hawthorne and get actual safety-compliant footwear from brands like Dr. Martens, starting at similar or even lower prices.

This place is profiting off students who are required to buy gear through a specific program or contract, and that’s unacceptable. LA Uniform and Tailoring does not deserve the business of hardworking students trying to pursue a career in...

Mike and staff were most helpful. Some items out of my price range but not unreasonable in the scope of competitive costs for the same. Or attempting to order each item separately from Amazon based on quality & price: it’s uncertainty all the way.

Attention to detail: it matters in looking sharp. Mike recommended tailoring in various areas and helped me size mine accurately to avoid extra tailoring steps.

Prompt attention , readily handed larger size for items too tight , had me set up in 20 minutes and I was there under 40 minutes.

The store is small entry due to the volume of inventory there, they had my school list of items and it went smooth.

You are dealing with expert tailors here. The time there may seem short but it’s due to they get right down to business and cost of item is average, the attention you receive with tailor measurements is of days long ago when precise fit was normal in the working environment . I just want to reiterate how please I am with the customer service that has been shown to me again! I purchased a couple of tact squad uniforms and shortly after that I've began to have issues with them. I recently reached out to the manufacturer of Tact Squad and expressed my dissatisfaction with their product . The Tact Squad representative advise to take the uniforms back to the location of purchase . To make a long story short , Even thou my problem is with the manufacturer of the uniforms I purchased, the owners of LA uniforms were very helpful and attentive and went above and beyond to help me deal with my situation . I said it before and I'll say it again , I definitely recommend LA uniforms to any or all law enforcement agencies !
