We stayed at the Hyatt Rosemont for a long weekend to attend a convention. The double bed rooms have full-size beds, which is uncomfortable for two adults to share (we had 4 in our room). The blankets aren't big enough to share with another person. The room was okay but the internet and TV channel selection both sucked. The shower head in the bathroom was cheap and the pressure was either way too hard or way too light. They don't use fitted sheets on the beds and instead had a regular flat sheet that was tucked in, which constantly came off the bed during the night to reveal a yellow mattress. The room was otherwise clean and comfortable.
The food in the Networks Restaurant was okay (with the exception of severely undercooked eggs) but the service was literally the worse I've ever had. Our server was inattentive and we had to ask for our initial drinks and refills several times before they were brought out. Most of my party had their meals finished by time we finally received our drinks. When we received the checks, the server took our payment without actually showing us the totals, and wrote in her own tips and purchase totals on every one of them. Most of the party left before I did and she immediately came over and started checking the receipts. When one of our party didn't put the tip on her card and left cash instead, the server asked me to go get her and make her put the excessively large tip on the card in addition to the cash she left. She told me I HAD TO tip a certain amount and demanded I change my total, and then told me to alter my friend's receipt to include the tip on the card. She tried to argue with me when I told her that I wasn't going to commit fraud on someone else's bank account and that the tip was left in cash. She had me cornered and wouldn't let me leave until I had changed my receipt to include the high tip for both myself and my friend. She hardly came to check on us while we were eating but when it came to getting those tips, she was literally right on top of us and hovering over our shoulders. I see in other recent reviews that other guests have had this experience. I really don't appreciate being told what I'm going to tip and then bullied into tipping that amount when the service was awful. Any positive aspect of our stay was eclipsed by how unprofessional and rude the server was, and we won't be staying again for...
Read moreWow this is a shocker I have no photos and normally I have photos. So this place is near the airport which is really good and also it has two great pizza locations that are near the hotel in walking distance also there's a fast food restaurant in the subway nearby right behind the hotel just walk straight back it's less than 10 minutes and if you walk fast you can get there in 5. The staff was welcoming coming in make sure if you are a loyalty member that you give him your number whether you registered ahead of time or not this way you can either get your stay your points however your loyalty program is set up. And even if you're paying through a third party make sure you let them know. Because you're still bringing business to them so let them know. The room is nice the beds are very firm so if you don't like firmness this may not be the hotel for you to get a good night's sleep the pillows also comfortable you get a fluffy one and a firm one which is very nice pressure from the shower pretty good. The one of the best things I like about in the room is you have a desk that you can work at but you also have the capability of casting your streaming services from your phone to the TV it's a great way to keep up with your Netflix your Hulu HBO Max peacock and any other streaming services that you're using. The workout room is a nice workout room it's located on the second floor remember that second floor small but very effective you get plenty of cardio machines a universal machine and dumbbells which is nice you can get a really good workout I got an excellent workout for the few days I was there. Highly recommend getting your workout on whether it's 10 minutes or 45 minutes get your workout on get the blood flowing. They also have a nice restaurant I didn't partake in because we all know hotel food can be expensive regardless if you're getting a discount or not. And besides enjoy the local cuisine if you're new to the Chicago area again from the silent traveler to all of you enjoy be...
Read moreI looove the Hyatt in Denver but I've been to 2 others and they just aren't that good. This is the 2nd one I've been to that I was extremely disappointed with. One was the parking. I made a reservation through hotels.com. Under optional extras it says self parking $22. Well thats confusing because parking isn't really optional unless you aren't driving. When my sister and I arrived at the hotel it was $25 a night for parking. Not to mention the parking lot isn't attached to the hotel so you take the elevator and have to walk over. Ofcourse that wouldn't been an issue if it weren't raining all weekend. We get the the room and ofcourse I go through my normal routine of checking the bed and it doesn't have a mattress cover (just a pad) and a fitted sheet. It's literally sheets on top of sheets. Bed bugs are a thing and this hotel clearly is not prepared for that. All the sheets were stained and the comforter was coming apart. I took it off the bed and all the stuffing started coming out. Asked for new sheets. Those too were stained with orange and yellow stuff. Moving on to the bathroom, all the towels were stained. No shower mat was available. Then the icing on the cake was that the sink didn't work. Had to have maintenance come up. Ofcourse I was offered to move but we were tired and moving to encounter the same issues isn't ideal. I was told the room would be cleaned the next day. That didn't happen. I had to go downstairs and ask again. A huge suggestion for the hotel is to throw away their linen and towels after awhile. You can't keep recycling that stuff. Thousands of people use it. Next would be to have a microwave. Finally would be to start renovations. The hotel is outdated. The sink and tub was rusted, the wall paper on the walls was dirty. The hotel just isn't appealing aside from downstairs. Not to mention this thick carpet you can barely roll your bag across. I'm definitely disappointed with this stay and after all that the front desk offered to take a night off of my...
