Read moreBeyond disappointed with what I had to experience today at the rosemont cilantro on 11/24, around 6:40 pm. I had gotten 2 STEAK burritos and a CORN quesadilla dinner. After waiting about 20 MINUTES, we had received our food, just for it to be sent back shortly after receiving it due to a mistake in the order. Like I stated before, I have asked for CORN but was given flour on the quesadilla dinner. Simple mistakes happen and hey I get it, but once I had gone back to the front, I had to wait while one worker was to busy on his phone. After saying “excuse me” for about a minute, he finally turned around and took the order back with no issue. After this, I had to wait an additional 10 minutes for the correct order to come out. After getting this order back and getting ready to eat, I simply thought finally, but noticed that the skin on the burritos was white, when usually they have the crispy side up. After noticing this, as I picked up my burrito to take a bite, I noticed how badly burnt it was on the bottom.
Below are 2 photos , each being from a whole different burrito. The fact that the cooks had seen how badly burnt it was and still sent it out, hiding their mistake, is extremely messed up. And when looking at it, I had asked for a STEAK burrito, but was given what tasted and looked like a damn veggie burrito. There was no almost no meat in there! And not to mention that the steak was grey and bland. Extremely upset with how this all went, especially seeing that there were others who had been given messed up orders. If you want a burrito with a little amount of bland ass steak, would definitely...
Read moreA Mexican food place named Cilantro where they CHARGE EXTRA FOR CILANTRO AND ONIONS! Sure, the standard taco has the choice, but if you want cilantro or onions on anything else, THEY WONT LET YOU SUBSTITUTE! They want you to pay an extra $1 to get it on anything that's not their taco, even if you take off other ingredients. The worst part is that I am a long standing customer of this place. There were periods of time where I would come in here daily. I had no problem substituting in the past, but when the RAISED THEIR PRICES recently, management felt that wasn't enough and wanted to nickle and dime you in every corner. That for me is a deal breaker.
Management, I hope you are listening because your greed just lost me as a long-time customer.
As for their their food, it is good. Worth it for the price, even after the bump (not counting the stupidity with substitutions). Their tacos are on the smaller side so they're not like a great value or anything. They benefit from being the only real taco place in the area (aka not Taco Bell). There are plenty of places in the city I would choose over this place for both price and quality. They just happen to be one of the only decent places for lunch in an area full of office buildings and overpriced sit-down bar/restaurants. If it weren't for their nickel and diming that lost me as a customer, I would put them...
