Best Western Plus Liberal Hotel & Suites — Hotel in Liberal

I gave it 2 stars because the rooms are very nice. I did have issue with the no shower curtain but my biggest issue was I paid 2 times. I booked my room through an online service and paid in advance. I told this to the girl at check in and tried to show her my receipt and she had no idea what she was doing and charged me for my room again. When I pointed out I was not supposed to be charged since I already paid I was told I said that already. I told her she needed to call someone and figure out how to fix it. She said no and they did not have a manager. She finally called someone when it became obvious I was not going to let her charging me an extra $362 just go. I spoke to another person the next day who called the owner. He said he would get it straightened out. He did not. When I left I had to talk to yet another person. She magically was able to fix it within 2 minutes. Now I will still have to wait 3 to 5 MORE days for my money to come back. So frustrated. That original person needs to be let go. Her attitude is awful and she is unwilling to listen much less...

Exemplary customer service ~ everyone on staff was smiling, cheerful & helpful. Special kudos to Jasmine & Trisha at the front desk. Room was standard king with micro & mini fridge w/freezer section, handy for refreezing blue ice packs. In-room Keurig. Easily accessible bedside & desk outlets for charging electronics. Free wifi w/ample signal. Bathroom was sparkling clean. Plenty of HOT water with great pressure. Generous supply of bright white towels. Slept well on super comfortable bed with nice linens & both firm & soft snuggly pillows. Well tended continental breakfast & tables were kept wiped down between guests. 24/7 coffee & cappuccino in the lobby. Did a load of laundry while I was here & appreciated not having to hang out at a laundromat. Walking distance to Mexican Restaurant, Braums & lovely city park. Didn't originally plan to spend 3 nights here but got to see that there is so much more to Liberal KS than you ever see just passing through. Loved the historic downtown area. Highly recommend & would most definitely stay...

I stayed here with my kiddos while driving going back to my home town. I booked online and paid. When I went to check in they said I didn’t pay. So they double charged me then added in a holding fee which was fine (holding fee) but I had already paid for the room. The girl working was not very helpful and then I asked her to leave a note for her manager which she never did because I never got a call. Then the next morning a new lady was working. I told her the same thing that happened and she was acting like I was wasting her time. I paid over $300 for a room because they double charged. She told me it will “adjust” itself. So here we are MONTHS later and i got my money back after calling corporate. Thank god I had enough money to get the other 10 hours of my drive done. No empathy from either person I talked too. They were too busy wanting to get back on their phones and FaceTime call. I’m not a very confrontational person so i should have pushed harder to get my money back right...
