This is 2022. I bought bed and mattress summer of 2020. A bed in my opinion is not something one gives "knee jerk" rating. I had a great experience with my salesman. No idea if he's still there. But I have noticed at the store level their personalities vary. Been to a few such as the one in Livingston ,Linden amd few others. And though some are more personable like mine. They are all well trained and follow the same format. They handle their business well. I paid for mine up front. I was AND have been more than satisfied. I am not a small guy in length or width. It meets every demand. I got the king size with vibration and full movement feet and head.. Warning they in my opinion push their installers too hard and therefore they are in and out with little explanation. Now everything should have been explained in the store in any case. And they are available in store. If you would rather call customer service for help. Depending on the representative that can be a bit problematic. However any question with a few calls can be answered. Make no mistake there ARE some great representatives. But try to get North Americans. It is JUST, easier. I did have a problem with the lower portion at first. Installer in a hurry. I blame the company more than him. They sent me the part I needed. It turns out I didn't. It was just not fully connected. All people could not have fixed it. I could have. But refused. I paid for proper install AND was going to have it installed properly. I must admit. I was busy AND sat on the repair. But when I called; Make sure you save ALL receipts; they came quickly, after verifying purchase and put things to right. They only change I might make would be to get the "suggested" temper pedic. But I am MORE than satisfied. I have never had a more restful sleep in my life. All in all. Experience was above board and...
Read moreThe saga continues, when they tried to deliver the mattress they could not get it up the stairs and suggested I get a split. I contacted the store and again got Tony, he told me to refuse the box spring and he would have the split ready for me to pick up at the same price as the other $100.00. Today on my way to pick them up he called me and said they were now $175.00 EACH! After arguing with him for ten minutes and him calling ME a liar, he said the only way I could get them is if I took down my post and get there in one hour. Talk about BLACKMAIL! Is this how mattress firm trains and condones this behavior of its associates. Stay as far away from them as possible. Also I have not heard from corporate as of yet. Small wonder this company is in bad shape. I just purchased a mattress from the Linden store, I was told by the salesman Tony that it was sent to his store from another store that was closing and that is why it had a clearance price. I just received the delivery notice and it says it is pre-owned. When, he reviewed the purchase order he never mentioned this he only said no warranty on clearance items which I can understand. I thought I was purchasing a new mattress not something someone with God knows what slept on. I'm in a fix as I have people coming to stay and have no time to run around to get another. When I called to complain his answer was to cancel the order or he will sell me another one (God knows at what price) and I would have to tie it to my roof to get it home (VW Rabbit) this after paying a $100.00 delivery fee. Do their sales people get their training at the school for used car sales. Just a heads up, make sure (if you are dumb enough to buy at mattress firm) you read every line on your sales agreement. Never again...
Read moreWith so many mattress retailers out there, finding the right one can feel overwhelming. Between flashy ads and endless options, it’s hard to know if you’re truly getting the best value for your money. That’s exactly how I felt walking into Mattress Firm at Legacy Square—hopeful, but bracing myself for the usual sales pitch.
To my surprise, the experience was anything but typical.
From the moment I walked in, I was warmly greeted by Steffany, the store manager, who immediately set a different tone. Instead of pushing products or steering me toward the most expensive options, she took the time to genuinely understand what I was looking for. She asked thoughtful questions about my sleep preferences, comfort needs, and budget, and then curated a selection of mattresses that fit my criteria perfectly.
What stood out most was her approach: patient, knowledgeable, and never once did I feel pressured or upsold. Steffany walked me through each option with care, explaining the features and benefits in a way that made me feel informed rather than overwhelmed. Her professionalism was matched by a sincere kindness that made me feel safe and valued throughout the process.
Shopping for a mattress can be stressful, but Steffany turned it into a positive, even enjoyable experience. If you're in the market for a new mattress and want to work with someone who truly listens and cares, I wholeheartedly recommend visiting her at the Legacy Square location. I know I’ll be returning when it’s time for my...
