Good: potato croquette, hamachi collar, spider (soft shell crab) hand roll, takoyaki Ok: sushi (in general), taro ball, Meh: mochi ice cream, regular ice cream, gyoza, salmon toro, any of the cooked kobe nigiri Pass: white tuna nigiri
They offer lunch at a lower price with a smaller selection which could be a good value.
You have a 90 minute time limit. The tablet orders allow for 2 orders per person per 5 minutes. We were worried about it, especially since the staff took ten minutes before they came to set up the tablet for us, but 40 minutes in we were pretty full and definitely didn't feel the need to camp the timer and order every 5 minutes.
The sushi was.. meh? At the beginning we suspected that the dried out rice and the sad looking fish was because the items had been on the conveyor belt for a while, but even the sushi we ordered by the tablet and the ones that started coming out in preparation of the dinner rush seemed wilty looking with the fish looking matte and slightly wrinkled and didn't really taste fresh.
I do like that most of the sushi options on the tablet seemed to also be available on the conveyor belt. Some of the appetizers were as well. You do have to pay attention since some of the sushi did get mixed up and were in the middle of other sushi (e.g. in the salmon yuzu picture, you can see the last plate is a roll and not a nigiri)
The fried appetizers were nicely prepared though some of the veggies from the tempura could have used some salt.
The sear on the seared fish was pretty lackluster.
The spicy crab roll had a torched taste which didn't make sense.
The white tuna had a weird taste and terrible texture. I was bummed since it's usually one of my favorites.
All of the items with truffle had a lot of truffle paste squeezed on and it was super heavy. It didn't go well with the fish, just the novelty of truffle. You can absolutely smell it coming.
I understand for an all you can eat sometimes you don't expect the highest quality but this was still a bit of a bummer.
The staff didn't have any seats open for a party of 6 so we all had to sit at the counter. They mentioned the booths for 6 were only open "when it was really busy" per the staff statement. I understand that those booths were only on the end section which didn't currently have sushi delivered there and it's not the fault of the staff, but 6 doesn't seem outrageous so it seems like poor layout planning not to be able to seat 5-6 people together "unless it's really busy".
A couple of items didn't arrive but we just re-ordered them on the tablet.
This beats out the other ayce revolving sushi nearby since the appetizers/hot food was enjoyable so I would say that it's worth trying if you're REALLY attached to both the conveyor belt and all you can eat. But I think the verdict for us is we would either rather not have ayce and go to a revolving sushi that's pay per plate for the revolving novelty, or go to an ayce that didn't have revolving sushi for ayce. The other options would allow us to enjoy better quality and be able to be...
Read moreThe origin of the conveyor belt sushi restaurant can be traced back to 1958 in Higashiosaka, Japan, when Yoshiaki Shiraishi was struggling with staffing issues in his small sushi restaurant. Inspired by the sight of beer bottles on a conveyor belt in an Asahi brewery, Shiraishi spent five years developing the idea.
Located at Aviation Plaza in Linden, Supra Revolving Sushi is a conveyor belt sushi establishment, also known as a kaiten sushi restaurant, that is typically smaller in size compared to other restaurant types, where a few of my colleagues came for lunch.
Upon entering this clean, modern, casual vibe as first-timers, we were greeted by the staff and got a table immediately that seats up to 4 patrons.
Each table has an interactive touch screen menu that tells one about every sushi item on the bar, plus specialty dishes such as ramen or hibachi, and drinks available for order. Plates weaved around tables like a toy train, carrying everything from Gyozas, Seaweed Salad to Tuna Nigiri, and Spicy Tuna Rolls etc. We’ve decided on the AYCE (All You Can Eat).
Each dish is secured in a bubble-like capsule that pops open once one grabs the plate with one’s fingers. The speed of the belt is about the same as the one you'd grab your checked luggage from at the airport, so you have a few seconds to decide on your picks. If one misses a dish or likes it enough to take seconds, the menu repeats every 12 minutes or so.
We really wanted to like this place because of how many wonderful reviews it had, but we left disappointed. The fish was cut super thin and didn’t look appealing or taste fresh. The fried rice that accompanied the hibachi was cold. Some of the dishes were not labeled.
Our server, Dorian, was attentive to all of our needs and constant checkups, but there is a time limit for eating, and we felt rushed.
Unfortunately, we can’t...
Read moreMy husband and I are serious sushi lovers, and decided to try this revolving sushi bar 45 minutes away. What we didn’t expect was to be completely blown away. From the moment we walked in, it was hard to believe they had only been open for six days. Everything ran like a well-oiled machine.
The setup was sleek and modern, with a dual-level conveyor belt system that made the whole experience both fun and efficient. The lower belt constantly rotated an assortment of small plates—perfect for pacing yourself and sampling a wide range of dishes. From fresh edamame to beautifully crafted rolls, it was impossible not to grab “just one more” every time a new plate passed by.
The upper conveyor belt brought out items we ordered ourselves via a convenient iPad menu. The photos made it easy to venture outside our usual comfort zone, and we ended up trying things we might not have otherwise picked. The steak hibachi was an absolute showstopper. Every dish that came out was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly portioned.
We wrapped things up with some refreshing watermelon and creamy ice cream, which was the ideal end to a perfect meal.
What truly elevated the experience, though, was the people. Our waitress, America, was incredibly sweet and accommodating. Hector, another staff member, was attentive and friendly throughout. And the owner, Mavis, was a joy to meet. Her passion for the restaurant shone through, and we loved getting the chance to chat with her and share our compliments directly.
We left full, happy, and already planning our next trip back. It’s rare to find a place that nails both food and hospitality right out of the gate, but this place is doing exactly that. We’ll be recommending it to all of our friends and family. Our new...
