Verizon — Local services in Linden

I had a horrible experience with the seller MYKAL G. A few days ago, I requested a plan for 6 lines and home internet. He gave me prices of $22 per basic line and $45 if I got a new phone. So, I took 4 lines at $22, 2 new phones with the $45 plan, plus the internet which was also $45.

I asked him many times if those were the prices, and he even showed them on his screen in front of 3 other people. In total, 4 of us saw and heard what he offered! Two of the people present did not speak English, so this seller brought in someone else (not from the company) to help him close the deal. Is that even legal? Having an outsider try to sell something?

The problem is that this guy wasted over 3 hours talking wonders about the plans. He even promised Netflix and YouTube FREE for one year! But when the bill arrived, it turned out he NEVER APPLIED THE DISCOUNTS. Everything was way above the promised price, and on top of that, YouTube and Netflix weren’t free at all — he was charging for them.

Today I went back to the store asking for his help to fix what he had sold us, because when I called customer service, they told me only the rep could solve it since he was the one who made the offer and it was through a different system from Verizon. Well, this guy NEVER HELPED US. He was completely rude, said it wasn’t his problem, wouldn’t even look us in the eyes, and ignored us the entire time.

The WORST VERIZON STORE EVER, I traded in my phone and bought an iPhone 16, with an issued credit due at trade in. I traded in my phone in September!! And today I received an email that my credit was on hold because they didn’t receive my phone and the store shipped my used phone without processing the label with the credit towards my account. I did not receive my credit because of their mistake. The store associate who severely messed up and who was at fault was unhelpful, sexist and unreliable. Odalis is the store associate who mishandled my trade in, drawled out the entire process because he didn’t want to admit the mistake. It took him AN HOUR AND A HALF to call Verizon’s Support Team to manually issue my credit to my account. My brother came in at 7pm, I arrived at the store at 6:15pm and he became abnormally nervous and it wasn’t until 7:30 that he called Verizon to see what happened, not only did he take too long with another customer but he refused to take charge of the situation and acted confused as if he wasn’t the one who took my trade in. I AM ABSOLUTELY FURIOUS, he didn’t even apologize or admit his mistake. Never again am I going to this store or trusting a Verizon employee for something so simple like a trade in.
