We stopped here for the night on our way to Tennessee, we stayed once last year so we knew what to expect. This is nicer and cleaner then some red roof's in, not the best that I've seen but perfectly fine to stay the night. We got a king room this time, the bed was very comfortable and both my husband and I slept well. Sheets are white so the bed was easy to check for cleanliness. The mattress had a mattress pad as well as a bed bug protecting cover on it so bed bugs werent a concern. The floors are hard wood and tile in the bathroom area. Over all the room was clean, the building itself is a little older so that makes it hard to get it perfectly clean. The shower was ok, I wore my flip flops just to be safe, water pressure was a bit low but still a comfortable shower. Check out isnt until 11am which is nice when you are traveling if you check in late and need some extra rest. Pools open 9am-11pm so you still have a chance to use it even if you arrive in the evening (we did not swim, looked like a decent pool). Breakfast is from 6am-9am so we were able to eat and then get showers and packed before 11am check out. Breakfast was decent, cereal was a little stale, they had make your own waffles as well as some bisquets, I think bagels and possibly a few other bread options, some yogurt, etc. My husband had the orange juice and he said it was very watered down, may just needed changed (came dispensed from machine). Over all I wouldnt want to stay here for multiple days as a vacation but its a perfectly good place to stop for the night to get some rest without the fear of picking up bugs. We've stopped here twice and I feel comfortable stopping here more...
Read moreAVOID We had the misfortune of being stuck at this awful place for a week. We had no other option, so unfortunately had to stay here the entirety of our stay. Staff was absolutely horrible. They treated us awful. The staff was rude from our very first encounter. We had a grocery order delivered and the hateful woman watched us the whole time with her arms crossed as we carried it down the hall to our room. She was clearly angry about it for some reason. We soon found out why they were acting so weird. They have a roach problem and she (the desk clerk) was living in the room right next to ours. We kept our room spotless and took out our own garbage our whole stay. We saw a few roaches every day, and one day specifically after housekeeping had came, I grabbed a fresh washcloth and there was a roach inside. This tells me the issue isn't isolated, as in, they're obviously in the housekeeping room too. The pool is cold. If you look back at reviews as far as 2023 (as far as I went back to see), plenty of people have mentioned the pool heater hasn't been working. They obviously aren't concerned about fixing it if it's been years, but they still advertise an indoor pool. Not to mention it's absolutely filthy. Dirt settled all over the pool floor tells me it isn't being filtered either and hasn't in years. This place has no concern for the safety or health of their guests. Every single encounter with the staff was awful. I was afraid to ask for a single roll of toilet paper. Noisy. You can hear everything in every room and the hotel is...
Read moreThis Red Roof Inn is absolutely the best one I’ve ever stayed in. I saw awards on the wall by the front desk and I can understand why.
The building, grounds, and facilities are well kept and up to date. It looked like the entire interior, public areas and rooms, had been recently remodeled. If so, they did an excellent job.
The rooms have flooring which looks like hardwood. This is superior to carpet in both cleanliness and upkeep. The room layout is quite functional for working and relaxing. Mine had a desk with a large workspace, the king size bed was firm and comfortable, there was a flat panel TV, microwave, and refrigerator. All was in perfect working order and clean.
Many hotels, no matter the price point, have showers in which the shower head is ridiculously low. Being 6’6” I was very pleased that was not the case in my room here.
The breakfast was a pleasant surprise for this 2 star level hotel. They offered the usual items plus a crock pot filled with tasty sausage gravy. Naturally there were biscuits too. The breakfast area was clean and well stocked.
The public areas were impeccably maintained and had a comfortable feel to them. This Red Roof Inn has inside hallways which is superior to the ones that do not in my opinion.
The check in and check out could not have been faster. The staff were pleasant, professional, and efficient.
The hotel is easy to get to right off of I-75 with plenty of parking.
It was quiet here and I had a restful stay. I would definitely stay here again...
