Shiloh Steakhouse London ky — Restaurant in London

for the price of the food you think it & the service would be good, but it wasn't. the waitress we had was incredibly rude to us and seemed to always be in a rush. this was my family's first time eating here and it seemed everything we did was a bother to her. we would have to ask for refills and she'd always give us dead-panned looks when we'd ask questions or take an extra second to decide which extra side we'd like when she had only one other table at the time. we had used manners & weren't attempting to be rude at all, yet it seemed she was in a bad mood regardless.

the food itself wasn't even that good either, from its appearance to the way it tasted. we came in with a party of 6, which i understand keeping every aspect of a meal warm could be difficult, yet we all ordered (almost) the same pieces of food (5/6 of us had gotten the bar as well mind you, and we were also a bother when she OFFERED to grab us more plates). our mac & cheeses had been cold, not even the bowl itself was warm, and our loaded potatoes were the same low quality. we had sent the noodles back and decided to ignore the issue with the loaded potatoes except for my grandma, who brought the issue up to our waitress.

when asked for perhaps a different potato, our waitress was incredibly snappy when asking what was wrong with it. mind you we had only sent the one back and never asked / saw a manager. the ranch tasted off, almost like it was too salty, and the FOUR chicken tenders i had ordered weren't edible. by the end of the night when our waitress had gotten more tables, she began straight ignoring us so we gave up on asking for things.

i do try to be understanding about these kind of things since i have worked in a restaurant, yet the experience tonight was disgusting. if they had nicer staff and fresh food, then perhaps this steakhouse...

Was in there today with a group of 9. 20 minute wait so not bad. We were seated and a waiter took our drink order. 10 minutes later the waiter came back with our waters, etc….. This was the ONLY thing correct about our entire meal. Waiter took our appetizer orders as well as our main dish order. 20 minutes go by and no waiter or food. I finally asked another employee if they could find our waiter. 10 more minutes and finally another waiter walked over and said that our waiter had left and wasn’t coming back. Hey!! It happens. Our appetizers came out and were wrong but in light of the ordeal we took them and was grateful to have some kind of food on our table. Maybe 15 more minutes and our food started to arrive. This is where it went all downhill. 1 out of 9 orders were correct. Wrong side items on the wrong plates. We had ordered chicken strips , 2 small steaks , and I ordered a hamburger medium. After multiple tips back and forth everyone finally received their correct order except ME! Once my burger arrived it was so over done I tried one bite and just couldn’t eat it. I politely told the waitress to just take it off my bill and I was happy just eating bread. By this point most of the other 8 were half done with their food so I didn’t want it be the one waiting another 30 or so minutes for a medium burger. The bill was split 3 ways and even after the replacment waitress asked us who was with who all 3 bills were screwed up. Not blaming our replacement as she was just thrown to the wolves So to speak. The absolute worst part of the whole ordeal was this… After all the wrong items and food cooked wrong I would have expected a manager to come over and at least apologize for the inconvenience.. Never...

This is very hard for me because I'm usually a glass half full kind of person but my experience at this eatery was less than satisfying. Now not being from the Lonfon area I went on the recommendations of friends. It was between Mexican and Steak and I was feeling like a big hunk of red meat. When I arrived we were seated in a very nice booth it was big enough to seat at least 6 large adults easily. I ordered the beef tips with peppers and onions a salad and baked potato. Our salads came and looked delicious. It was quite tasty but when I tried to eat a crouton it was stale and chewy. After forcing it down I dug the rest out and placed them to the side. Our entrees arrived and the potato looked heavenly smothered in butter and sour cream. Just how I like it. The taste was how I would describe when you bake a potato and a few hours eat it. It has a particular taste that I have become accustomed to when dining out. The beef, I tried to cut one of the tips and I could cut through it. Now I have ordered med rare. What I found was a gristle in the center of it so I tried another. The waitress must have seen my distress and came over to ask if everything was alright. I showed her my steak, and she called the manager over. He took this back to the kitchen and brought me out another. It was better but not much. I ate my potato and my jaw was sore from trying to eat a piece of steak. Waitress came over to ask if we wanted dessert we declined. Dinner for 2 not including tip was 37.00. I cant give this place more than 1 star. I truly hope this was a 1 time bad experience and that normally they have...
