Atrocious does not even begin to describe the horror of that “establishment.” To have the audacity to even charge $20 for the night should be a crime. How that desk worker (who is clearly the owner) had no shame in handing me that key to the room is astonishing.
As the Uber driver made its way into this narrow passageway in the middle of the street, I dreaded the few seconds I had left in the safety of my Uber driver’s car. He took my suitcase out the trunk, and as he was handing it to me, he gave me a sort of look, the look that is questioning whether I had made the best decision in coming here.
Now as we know, motels are outside, so there really isn’t any proper “safety” measures, just the lock on your door and the security cameras they try to convince us work (when in all actuality they don’t). I made my way up the stairs to the second floor, and I’m thinking, okay at least I’m on the second floor and I have some advantage if someone decides to break into a room at random. As I opened the door to my fate for the next 7 hours, I quickly realized that today, today of all days, was NOT the day to have been cheap. And I thought to myself, “is this really how much you care about your own life? You couldn’t have just paid an extra $60 for the Hilton??”
I took one look at the beds, not cleaned. The floors? Full of dust and who knows what else. I was so disgusted by where I was standing, I felt bad for my damn shoes that had to bear the touch to such a disgusting floor. I’m here thinking, “okay well let’s just check the bathroom” as I’m walking to the bathroom, my skin is crawling at the very high possibility that something will emerge from under the bed. So I do what any person with a sane mind would’ve done, I hopped on the bed with my shoes on and played that stupid game, the floor has lava?
As I made my way to the bathroom, I take notice of the two towels that housekeeping had neatly folded, only to discover the big stains on both towels. Oh but it gets worse. The sink had ants on it and what I’m pretty sure was mold around the faucet. And then the toilet. Oh, the toilet. I wanted to die right there. I won’t go into much details, but I didn’t even use the toilet paper. The only thing clean about that damn room was the shower.
Before I went to bed on that tragic tragic night, I put a chair up against the door. Because there was only a. Lock. No deadbolt. I woke up at least a dozen times in the 4 hours I slept, to hear what I thought could only be hell.
I have never checked out of a hotel room so quickly in my life.
You know that saying, “you get what you paid for?” That does not apply here. That is a disgrace to even think about saying. I should’ve gotten more. I paid $77, but oh I should’ve gotten more. At least a deadbolt on my door. At the...
Read moreBare minimum accomodations! When we arrive there was just one spot available to park, you could only park safely just 6 cars including one for people with disabilities. When I checked in I had to pay a $20 deposit in cash in order to get the key and the TV remote. When we enter the room, it was clean but it was the minimum stuff in order to call it a hotel. It was clean, it only has a very small fridge and a small microwave. There were not many electric outlets (5) including one used by the fridge and the microwave and the bathroom. The wall had a big hole and painted in different shades of brownish/ gray. The AC unit worked very good. The bathroom was clean, but it only had 2 towels, btw, very rough on your skin. The bathroom sink was so small that you can barely fit a tooth paste and a tooth brush, see pictures. There was a loot of noise from the street, cars driving very fast, police/ ambulance sirens. I heard what it sounded like 7 shots in the middle of the night and then the sirens again. The staff were nice, they all seemed from India, including the one that oopened the door suddenly without knocking, I guess they're we're not sure if it was occupied. The hotel is in a not safe, very abandoned and dirty neighborhood. I booked because it was one of the lowest price hotel near the place we had to go, still it was over $100 per night, I didn't know the area, but now you can decide if you want to reserve it based on...
Read moreI've been here many times before. Not the greatest place to stay but will do when low on cash. But as of today I will never come back here again. So sometimes they require a 20 dollar deposit for check in.(I say sometimes because I've been here before many times and they sometimes don't ask for the deposit.) I woke up a bit late from check out time but didnt think nothing of it since it had happened to me before. But today the owner/front desk Indian guy said he wasn't giving me my deposit because I checked out 40 minutes late plus I had to pay him another 20. Nowhere in the property do they have this "policy" written nor in the websites. Not once did they bother to come tell me that it was check out like most places do til right when I was about to get ready to check out. I told him to give me 5 mins and he kept banging on my door every minute. Extremely disrespectful. To top it off the TV did not work and the sheets were dirty. He didn't give me back my deposit so I am Never coming back to this...
