We arrived after 15 hour drive. I booked a double queen over the phone. We checked in drove our car around and carried all our luggage to 111 which was 1 double bed. I called and went back to desk got keys to 203, carried luggage up, room had a large pice of splintered wood on the floor, upon investigation, broken bed. Called to the front desk, she brought up another room key, I showed her broken bed and used towels and pillows in the room. Went to 221 with all our luggage, door would not open all the way, room was occupied. Walked back down stairs ( no elevator). This time she came upstairs with us, inspected the room and we finally got to relax, it was 1:45 am and we got to the hotel at 12:55. The woman at the front desk said 221 should not have been occupied, she didn't know why the towels were used in 203 or how the bed was broken. She did her best, but the hotel was not a pleasant experience. Also, we had to plug in the fridge and move the cabinet to do so in order to unpack our cooler. One incident we would have laughed off but this hotel is a disaster and the most expensive of our Best Western stays from RI to CO. When we checked out no manager was there, so I asked for him to call me. He did not.

DO NOT MISS THIS HOTEL. I always check for bed bugs everywhere with my flashlight and this room was CLEAN. Saw no bugs AT ALL and no scraped up places on walls. No cracked or busted anything! Was very surprised at the great condition for such a cheap room ($91 was $104 with tax) and after I saw the great breakfast, marked this up as a place to return to for Sure. Filled up my mug with tea to start my day right! Wish I'd taken pics of breakfast but it was just an ordinary breakfast buffet you'd regularly find in a nicer than just cereal n toast place. Just a note that I'd ordered the $91 room through a third party who charged me $175 so I canceled that and called the place directly and was so glad I did. The room was so clean and just so much better than I expected - and out in the country so I felt safe about staying there. Great value is an understatement indeed! Was surrounded by places to eat AND A WALMART was right down the road too!

Long story short, we were exhausted and needed a place to stay. This BW is right off the interstate, which made for a loud night of truck noise, supplemented by the 20 mph winds whistling through the open space between the windows. The room was drab with a tiny bathroom, no shampoo or conditioner, a super-sensitive tub faucet, no working heater, and a sketchy cable connection which provided very few channels. This is a two-story motel with no elevator, and the interior stairway we used was dirty. It does offer the appliances that are appreciated (fridge, microwave, Keurig, and hair dryer), the beds are queen sized (bonus) and rather comfortable, and the night desk clerk was helpful. Free breakfast was typical but offered two meats, bacon and sausage, which my carnivores enjoyed. It was cheap, but my bottom line - skip it.

My wife and I stayed in room 104, which has a king bed, sleeper sofa, desk, TV, microwave, mini fridge and shower. Of course there is free WiFi, free breakfast and a heated pool with a large hot tub that we fully took advantage of. Well, at least the hot tub as even though the pool is heated, its still too cold for us Floridians. The hotel was very clean and great access off I71 or SR 13. It's located very close to Malabar State Park, Mt Geeze which is a must see in fall and Mohican State Park. Just a few yards away is a Walmart, gas stations and tons of restaurants. Just a few miles away is the blueberry patch, Downtown Mansfield and Ontario (the shopping and entertainment area) and fairly close to Loudonville where you can rent canoes on the river during the summer. All these things are must see at all times of the year for the most part. The maple syrup festival at Malabar is one of my favorite events the first and second weekend of March (as I'm a Mansfield native). Snow Trails Ski resort is right down the road and this hotel is still situated within an hour of most of central and northern Ohio, the ski resorts North of here, Lake Erie and Amish County. Lexington is just down the road where there is a go kart/putt putt/batting cages/bar and grill (used to work there for 7 years as a first job) and Mid Ohio Speedway in Lexington as well. There is literally hundreds of different things you can do from this central point, including going to Columbus, Easton and Polaris an hour south. This is the best place to stay if you want access to tons of activities and anywhere you go is going to be a half tank of gas there and back (based on a 2014 Silverado)

The hotel staff is great, amazing in fact who are customer service focused. We stopped in as a walk in after an unexpected business trip not making a reservation and were given a great rate, just as booking online or better since we booked for 10 nights. I don't have anything negative to say about this hotel, especially at the rate we were given. You won't find anything better around for the price.

Don't think twice about staying here, extend your stay and enjoy all the offerings within a 1 hour radius, or simply stay a night during the winter and enjoy the pool with your...

On Sept. 15th we came from out of town planning on staying two nights. It was myself and my handicapped mother. The room was dirty with old fries dried up on the floor. The pool was closed do to chemicals but was told it would be open the next day. when I called the following day to ask about the pool they informed me it would be closed another day to chemicals. My only comment to him was I wish they had of told me about the pool situation when checking in. He (the desk clerk) said 'well I can check you out for the second day,' I said 'no, I just wish I had known.' He repeated 'I can check you out and I replied I'll have to call you back'. Thinking everything was fine we returned to our room later that day we could no longer enter out room. Puzzled by this I left my handicapped mom standing on a walker in the hall and went to the front desk where she informed we we had been checked out!! when I informed her my things were still in the room re acted like she wasn't going to return them! When insisting I needed my things and they my poor mom was still out in the hall waiting she said she'd have to make a call to the former desk clerk. After insisting they were going tho return my things they decided to give us a key long enough to retrieve my poor mom and our belonging, with no offer of just checking us back in over the misunderstanding. We were basically evicted!!! We were from out of town, not like we could just return home which forced me to book another room at another hotel, less convenient for my handicapped mom. My question is this"does asking a question about a pool being open deserve being thrown out of a room"?! I think not!! I will never stay at this place as there customer service was appaling and I've never seen a handicapped person treated is such a poor manor.!! ...

We booked room 202 the first night visiting for the holidays. For those that are unaware, this is the second to the most expensive room they have. In the past I've stayed here with no issues, therefore I recommend this hotel to my husband. He was highly disappointed, the bathroom door wouldn't even stay closed. The door just pops back open, so we had no privacy the night we stayed. Then I discovered the phone was out, not that it was unplugged, because trust I checked! The alarm was out completely, therefore we woke up late from traveling all day. Needless to say, I just blamed it on that room. Two days later I talked him into staying another night, explaining that it wasn't normally like that. Taking the hotel side & my past experience over the years. This time we purchase their most expensive room, the kids stayed the night at grandma's. So if you know this hotel, well you know they have Jacuzzi's in the rooms of which I am speaking about. So I figured we would give it another shot.. stuck up for this hotel. Only to find out the Jacuzzi in the most expensive room they have didn't even work. That is the only reason and only difference in those 2 rooms and neither one of them worked! I mean come on had someone broke into my room and tried to rob me. I would not have even been able to call 911 because the phones didn't...
