UPDATE 11/18/2024: Unfortunately, I have to give a negative update. This is something I do not like to do and only do it when I feel it's necessary. A few weeks leading up to when I booked the room, I called around to four or five different hotels to ask questions. One was asking about the depth of the pool since my grandson can't swim. The gentleman who answered did not know the footage so I asked him is it a pool that six yr olds play in and he said "yes". Well the shallowest end was '3.6. It came to my grandson's chin. So he was stuck on the little steps, it caused a lot of arguments. I booked the jacuzzi suite, specifically for the jacuzzi. Well when I started filling up the jacuzzi the water was dark yellow, almost brown. Most likely from it sitting. When I pulled out the extra bed from the couch there was popcorn, and no, we did not have popcorn there. So we couldn't use the jacuzzi, we couldn't enjoy ourselves at the pool, and I highly doubt the pull out couch bed had it's sheets changed because had they changed the sheets they would have seen the popcorn. It was in a place where I seen it as soon as I pulled it out.
Just got to our room. We're staying in the jacuzzi suite. The front desk attendant was so friendly! We just got here ten minutes ago, but at first glance the room seems very clean. Keep in mind we haven't pulled back the blanket on the bed or anything yet, but at first glance the rooms looks very clean. It definitely needs some updating and it would be nice to see the carpet removed. There is carpet up against the jacuzzi, not a very good idea. The jacuzzi looks clean, along with everything else. The suites are on the first floor, and this suite is right beside the pool AND door. So there is the chlorine smell and lots of noise from the pool and being beside one of the main entrances. That won't really bother us but it is something to keep in mind. I'm used to suites being on the top floor. However, since I brought children who will be swimming it is kind of nice having the pool so close. We haven't had breakfast yet but breakfast comes with the room. I'll update if I find any major flaws. If there are no updates, that means the breakfast was good and everything went fine. They gave me a $25 refund. I would have expected at least double that given the fact, outside of breakfast, we didn't get to enjoy any of their amenities, not even ones we paid more for like...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreChecked in with another couple was there for a weekend get away. After we checked in I noticed on my bank account they charged me for 2 rooms. I went down to front desk and showed the 2 employees my account on my phone. The one man said the man that checked me in was a trainee and did something wrong and he would fix it. When I got back up to my room the money was back in my account and never thought anything more until I used the card that night and checked my account. The charges were back on so I went back down. The man said that it was normal to have 2 holds and one would drop off in the morning. I asked the couple we were with to check their account and when they did they were never charged. When we check out we explained everything to the women working and she said she saw the problem and would fix it. She said the second charge would drop off in the Morning when the bank opened so I trusted her. I ask why I was even charged for the second room when the other couple used their own card and she said the trainee did something wrong. On Monday morning I called my bank and they confirmed I was charged two times for the same amount the amount of the room. They did not see any refund and said I had to call the hotel. I called several times and got a different answer every time. I asked for a manager and after about a 10 min hold another women answered. She pretty much said it was my fault for using a debt card and for letting the other couple use it. I explained they used their own card and she said I was wrong about that. She was condescending, smug and refused to give me a complaint phone number stating she would get the complaint and she said they did nothing wrong and I would eventually get my money. I will never stay at this place ever again and the manager is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIt is up to date from what I saw but leading up to our stay was an absolute nightmare. Everything about booking rooms for our wedding was a disaster. Not getting a contract for rooms because of the wrong email address turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Then, when we did reserve rooms, some of our guests werent exactly easy to get in order. Eventually we cancelled our blocked section of rooms. Suddenly it was put into a bridesmaid's name and she was on the hook for 7 unbooked rooms and the people who had booked a room on the blocked section had no room anymore because apparently you cant just lift the block, that cancels all reservations under the block. The room that was reserved for the bride and myself the night of the wedding was booked for the night before so the girls could stay together that wanted to and get ready the day after in that room together. However, it was booked for my sister and I, the groom, the day I got married. Where I come from, that aint happenin'. We had hospitality bags made up for the guests of our wedding who stayed at the hotel. Somehow there were people we never met before with hospitality bags from us because the front desk was handing them out to anyone who stayed. I think I may have made 4 or 5 phone calls in one day to sort I out the cancelled rooms and try to make sure we had room for the people that were staying. It was never set straight. We just had to get everyone in rooms where they should have been on our own once everyone checked in. It was really the only thing that was stressful about our whole wedding. I cant recommend...
