Sunrise Getaway House — Hotel in Marathon

I had the unpleasant experience of dealing with the management of this property. I caution anyone trying to book this home for your family vacation. The owner had documented receipt of our “contract” and payment, and still ruined our vacation. Less than a month before our trip we hear another family has book the week we already payed for. The explanation given that the house is a very competitive property. I have been coming to the Keys for over 30 years. This place is by far the best place I have ever stayed... I liked it so much I stayed for a month one time. Outstanding vacation home from the leather furniture to the ocean front property, everything was a 5 star experience. Even the owners and the way than handled all my needs... I simply can't say enough good about them and this property.

If you are looking for a family getaway then stay here, you will NEVER be...

Gorgeous home- better than the pictures, honestly.

One comment though- it's EXTREMELY slippery. Coming in and out of the pool, or the rain. Out of 6 of us,2 have fallen down the entire flight of stairs. 2 fell inside. The stairs need a grip, the inside needs mats. If you're a little older or have kids, this place is very dangerous....
