Taco Bell / KFC — Restaurant in Marathon

I just moved to Marathon last week, and read the reviews of this location. They're not great. Although I always tread cautiously with combination establishments, (ie Taco Bell/KFC) I had to find out for myself, this being the only Taco Bell in a reasonable range. First impressions: 1) While not the cleanest restaurant I have ever been in, it certainly isn't the worst. 2) No employee at the counter to recieve orders. I had a fleeting moment of regret about not listening to the reviews. Then Boom! 3) Guy comes out of nowhere and fast. Competent service, but didn't really know the menu. I had to explain and point to what I wanted. No substitutions, just a regular menu item. , other than that, he knew how to do his job. 4) Food comes out in under 5 minutes, hot, and honestly great.

I would rate this as a 5 star on Taco Bell standards except the restaurant could stand to be a little cleaner and maybe focus a little more on the presence of the front of house staff.

I will be back, think I'll steer clear of the drive through...

This experience was terrible. It was like 1:30, not a busy time, and the line took 10 minutes for two cars. At drive through three separate women were taking my order, making it confusing and frustrating to order. We had two orders in our car group but thought walking in and placing our order would be faster so after taking 5-7 minutes to place the first order we parked and went inside. A woman who had ordered told us she had gotten her order wrong and they made her wait in line to fix it and she had been there 20 minutes with kids in the car. They were very polite, and relatively fast. However They gave me 3 cheesy Gordita crunches with some sort of reddish chipotle sauce in them instead of the usual Baja sauce or whatever ranch sauce is usually on them. And I know this might sound petty but if they told me they were out of the regular sauce or subbing for something else I would’ve just ordered something different. They were disgusting. I also ordered no lettuce and they didn’t listen to that either. Pretty easy order, bad execution. Taco Bell used to be my go to because of the other fast food in marathon being far worse.
