We recently had a Daddy Daughter campout here and we had a great time. This is a brand new park and is very clean. All sites have brand spanking new electrical/water hook-ups. The entrance has a pool and the marina. Shipping containers have been decorated with reclaimed wood and black iron pipe to give you a perfect place to grab a hot shower or use the facilities after a long day on the boat. When you are in the keys you want to be on a boat, and if you have one this place is perfect. Local free Ramp nearby (walking distance) and dock space right next to the pool. Short trip down the mangrove lined canal and you are in the bay a short ride from two channels to the Atlantic side. If you do not have a boat then just sit back on the little beach and enjoy the unobstructed view of the bay and the sunset! Launch your kayak or paddle board and you are in the shallow bay flats in minutes. A few notes about the grounds. -Seeing as it is new there is medium to large crushed gravel on all the sites and the road to the sites is packed with loose black-top. This makes it a little difficult to tent camp as stakes do not go into the ground very easy. It is not impossible but be aware you may need a bigger hammeršŸ˜‰. You will need flip-flops or water shoes to get around. -Seems to be security cameras to keep an eye on your stuff while you are out enjoying the keys. -Bring a dive flag to snorkel in this area Overall this is a great place to stay in the keys and I imagine it will soon be difficult to get a reservation due to high demand. I look forward to my next trip back.

We loved this little gem of an RV Park. The staff (Robin, Chris & Fred) were very nice and helpful throughout our stay. The RV park is kept extremely clean. Their bath house has plenty of bathrooms with large showers as well as they have a laundry facility for guests to use near the office/pool area. The pool offers views of the canal with ample number of lounge chairs, round tables as well as high top chairs. The beach area (not for swimming) but for enjoying the sunrise and sunsets also has plenty of chairs to relax with your morning coffee or afternoon cocktail overlooking the beautiful ocean. And, if you're lucky you'll see a manatee or sea turtle swim by. The park is centrally located in Marathon, very close to the grocery stores, restaurants, pubs/bars! We, thoroughly enjoyed everything about Coconut Cay RV Park. We met some wonderful friends during our month stay, that we will stay connected with and can't wait to see them again @ Coconut Cay. A big thanks to Robin in the Office as well as to Chris & Fred for making our month stay so enjoyable and memorable! We had a great month at Coconut Cay RV Park & Marina and look forward to our return in 2023!

We stayed in one of the Aqua-lodges for three nights. Absolutely loved it. Well equipped , comfortable beds, shower, bathroom & living room. The aqua lodges have a balcony on the creek. Sitting there watching fish swim by - others lucky enough to see a manatee. There are laundry facilities in the office. A lovely warm swimming pool open to dusk and patio bbq areas. Near by supermarkets for supplies. Walk through the RV park to the end of the cay to watch sunset. Great atmosphere with other residents. The highlight - hire a boat. You get $50 discount if you are staying on site. Dave , the host gave us a tutorial on navigation & boat handling. We had the best day ever sailing around Marathon. Sea turtles & dolphins passed us. We anchored off for lunch , sailed under bridges and through creeks. Made our vacation. Would highly recommend staying here

There is absolutely no way I would ever stay at this place. We drove up with some friends who had stayed here last year. They wanted to show us the site and marina because we have a boat. Some lady on a golf cart chases us down. She was extremely rude and when I tried to ask her questions she could only say this is private property. I said ok. I understand that. We were just going to be here a few minutes and then leave. Then she makes a statement to indicate that people had things here and implied we might try to steal their possessions. I asked do we look like those types of people. All she could say like a parrot repeating himself over and over was you can’t be here. So I’m not sure if this place deals with lots of crime. Maybe they do. Apparently we broke protocol and didn’t check in at the office. The hospitality that this staff member showed us would be a concern for me. We have visited yacht clubs and marinas all over the country. I have been to exclusive clubs and never been treated like some type of criminal until today. Personally I would fire this employee and offer retraining to the other staff. This happened on Sunday Dec 29, 2023 around 1:30-2:00. We visited a few other places in the area and were treated with respect. This was the marathon yacht club and banana cay resort. Much different experience. It’s a shame when someone is excited about showing you the site and telling you about their past stay only to encounter such a...

It wouldn’t let me leave a review on the Motel itself (Coconut Cay Resort), so I will leave my experience here.

Checking in was a headache, we sat outside in the dark for about 2 hours waiting because the power was out, not their fault but I assumed they would have a backup generator of some sort.

The staff are extremely friendly, and it’s a nice location right on the water to enjoy some paddle boarding/kayaking, which they provide, included with your stay. Awesome.

However, we’re going on our fourth and final night, and I’m sure I’ll be sleeping in the car again on account of the relentless no see-um bugs in the bed. The previous night we took a late night trip in search of ā€œSkin So Softā€ and ā€œBenadrylā€, but it’s nearly impossible to get a good nights sleep scratching and turning on your flashlight every few minutes to look for bugs because your skin is crawling, in an otherwise extremely comfortable bed (the mattress and pillows are so soft). It’s alarming the amount of welts/bites we’ve woken up with every morning. We should have listened to the previous reviews regarding this issue.

The price, location, and people are great, but I’d rather be able to SLEEP in the bed we’re paying for, as opposed to the car.

Update: We’ve been staying at another waterfront location just down the road, no bugs, same...
